Description

Become more mindful and compassionate using our Meditation Guide. Check-in daily, track your progress, and feel the calm.

+++++++++++

The SB&T App is a free mindfulness, meditation and compassion building tool for middle-school students, high-school students, and adults. The App is simple, fun, and easy to use. Check-in to how you are thinking and feeling, and select emotions that guide you to recommended choices from 15 age-appropriate mindfulness and compassion-building audio meditations in a prioritized list.

Scientific evidence has shown that you can develop kindness and compassion by focusing on these attitudes through the practice of mindfulness and meditation. By using the App, you can develop skills that support academic and professional achievement, in addition to more positive interactions and relationships, by learning to:

deepen your awareness of your thoughts and emotions and recognize those feelings in others,
settle yourself down and proactively manage your emotions and reactions,
approach people and everyday situations from the perspective of kindness and compassion.

The App is available to students and adults where they need it most – accessed anywhere and at anytime via iPhone and iPad. For educators, the App easily integrates into classrooms, extracurricular activities, and mindfulness zones on our partner-school campuses, and is in the form that teens like to use – technology that has become deeply embedded into their daily routine. By becoming kind towards oneself and aware of personal thoughts and emotions, students learn to be aware and tolerant of others, and interact with the communities they inhabit from a perspective of understanding and with a sense of being positively connected.

Wonderful "check-in's" & short meditations

I was looking for something that would provide short meditations and this is fits my need beautifully! The app asks you to assess you current state, which takes about 15 seconds and then provides a list of relevant meditations. There is a good group of meditations that come standard with this app, including one that is just sounds of nature and another that is a self-meditation timer. Additional meditations are available for purchase. I find that just doing the 15 minute check-in is very useful. I add a meditation (1-5 minutes) as time allows.

I've already recommended this to others and will continue to do so! Well done!!!

The best meditation app I have found

Best app I have found for meditation. Like the self reflection with selection of emotions. Also like the variety of free meditations available.

I'm not sure the app always suggests the most appropriate meditation for how you're feeling because it has suggested meditations aimed at things other than the emotions I actually enter.

I think the developers should add a goal function to the app so users could set different meditation goals for themselves (e.g., meditate 5 times this week). The app could track progress like it already does but in the context of the individual user's goal and send the user reminders.

Love this app!

This app is really in one word: perfect. It's well done, performs wonderfully and is made by a non-profit. What could be better? In an app-store filled with money hungry developers who charge you just to go to the next level in their games, it is so refreshing to see a development team actually depositing some SUBSTANCE to your life. Sure, there are in-app purchases, but they are to only benefit YOU and your wellness. I would gladly pay double the amount for those IAPs, for the benefits I am getting from this app.

Thank you guys. Sincerely. With immense gratitude!! :-)
