With the Geography Trainer app you can improve your knowledge on geography in next to no time.
The app includes 9 different lessons:
- Countries: Top 25 (free)
- Western Asia
- North Africa
- South Africa
- North America
- South America
- Federal Countries of Germany
Get started right away: After downloading the app, you can begin to learn directly—with no need to register.
Geography Trainer facilitates effective and optimal learning: The lessons begin with a knowledge test, after which the app saves your existing knowledge and repeats countries you already know less frequently, while repeating questions you have answered incorrectly more often.
The high-quality interactive map of the 3D globe as well as photos of every country invite you to learn and browse: information about a country and its corresponding Wikipedia article with a lot of additional information are only a click away.
The app has been offered, continually improved, and further developed by me, Ralf Ebert, since mid-2012. I have been enthusiastic about travelling and far-away countries for as long as I can remember.
I invite you to give the app a try, and I look forward to helping you improve your knowledge of geography.

Great but I want more!
This app is great for learning countries in geographic regions. What I wish is that it had similar tests for bodies of water, mountain ranges, etc. If you go into the description of each country, you will learn more about what rivers, seas, mountains form borders with surrounding countries, but it’d be a more holistic learning experience if there were either separate quizzes for physical geography, or if some major elements were included in the political geography quizzes. I really have learned a lot already, that would just make it even better.
Not enough lessons
Honestly, there was pretty good information. Except for one thing. I do not want to spend money to learn. All of the lessons except for the top 25 (which all of them are easy anyway) you have to pay for to be able to learn. Why do I have to pay to learn?!? I want to learn but I can’t
It takes many months of programming and design work to make an app like Straight Ahead and as I don't want to clutter the app with ads I am kindly asking the users to pay for the app if they like it.
Bad new update
I don't mind paying for the app, but please let me say what countries I know, its getting fairly annoying to have to repeat the easiest countries, even after clicking I know it easily. Also stop asking me to rate it please. Good app but fairly annoying
Thanks for your feedback, this was improved with version 1.7. When you use the "That was easy" button, the country question will not repeated in the same lesson run.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
