5 STAR GAME 1 STAR FOR EFFORT
let me start off this review by saying this game is awesome. any street fighter fan should get this game because it plays so well. i have been playing volt until tis day before this game came out, so this game is very much welcomed. but afterseeing games like injustice, i always wished stret fighter could liook likie that, "if only volt came out a few years later so it could look better" and finally it did, but it doesnt feel significantly updated. Native and widescreen support are great, but the characters and stages should had been updated a little more to make it feel a little more like a new game rather than an update. One thing that bugs me is that they still never fixed Zangeif's walking backwards animation, it looks odd. its the same as his walking forward animation. Second complaint is the fact that there is no stereo sound with headphones. Also i miss free sparing mode and as far as i can see no new stages were added, but since arcade mode doesnt let you select stages, i havent really been able to verify this. perhaps keeping the game simple it makes it compatible with older devices since it only needs ios 6 to work, so that is an upside. Anyway, pick this game up because it is still worth it.
Love this game but online cheaters I hate.
I am a huge Street Fighter fan and a decent player myself. I bought this game a few days ago and loved it. Until I start to play online, I really wish you guys come up with a way to get rid of the hackers/cheaters. I run to many occasions were I'll be in the middle of an online match and be winning, until all the sudden the game gets very sluggish and huge delays on my controls. Making me lose. I know the player on the other end just slowed down their internet speed to take the win. Wish you guys could stop people from doing that. Also there is a glitch or a hack I'm guessing some players figured out. I fought a player and won three of my five matches with him. When we started he had 12 wins and 2 losses. I had 9 wins and 1 loss. I beat him three times and he have beaten me twice. His wins would go up but his loss stayed at 2 but on my scored card the wins a losses would go up. To me that is cheating and should be address.
7+, iOS 10.x
There is just enough lag—fractions of a second, perhaps—with online play to disrupt combinations, which makes winning quite difficult (and losses frustrating) unless one's opponent is overmatched. I would compare the delay to the experience of typing characters that are not displayed quite as quickly as one's fingers press the keys on an older computer. This user tested the phenomenon extensively over 75 Mb/s wifi that was functioning optimally at the time. Others are correct in that CE is little more than the long-awaited update to Volt. Despite this, nostalgia and the longing to play SF on modern devices still leaves me somewhere around three stars. SF is a title this user played in arcades as a youngster, and there's no overlooking the fact that one may now carry that experience (especially solo mode, which does not suffer from the same lag as online play) literally everywhere that he or she goes.
