** OLD VERSION: Download "Streets 3" instead, unless you have iOS 8.2 or older **
Do you yearn for the days of Street View in iOS 5? “Flyover” in the Maps app is great but sometimes you want a closer look?
Welcome to “Streets”. Launch it from Maps and go back with a single tap. You’ll feel right at home!
INTEGRATED WITH MAPS
Streets is Maps’ best friend. Launch Streets from “Maps” for any location. View the Street View panorama and tap right back.
If you’re already using our location finder app Where To?, you’ll also be able to take advantage of tight integration with Streets to view your location and snap right back when you’re done.
Drop a pin, search for a city or address or find a person from your contacts. All areas with Street View coverage are marked in blue on the map. The map featuring high resolution Google vector map and satellite imagery can be rotated and tilted.
Your recent searches and the selected map style are all saved, synced and shared with all your iOS devices via iCloud.
EASY TO USE
If you can swipe, you’ll be all right. Just use your favorite gestures to zoom around the Street View panorama. Flip your iPhone or iPad to easily rotate from portrait to landscape and back again. By the way: Compared to the Google Maps app, Streets offers a considerably higher zoom depth!
The mini map corner displays your current position, viewing angle and field of view.
Share Street View panorama pictures via Mail, text message, Twitter and Facebook with your friends or save them in the camera roll or clipboard. By tapping the title bar you’ll reveal the Street View image date.
700+ GALLERY PLACES
Explore more than 700 “gallery places” worldwide – museums, ski resorts and even underwater attractions. There are even indoor multi-level panoramas to make it easy to find your way around museums and more!

April 2016 update: I've used this app for a good long time, but recently I have had a problem with the "routing apps" screen is getting stuck when I return to maps from inside the Streets app. I close out of maps and Streets, relaunch maps in order to "fix" it. Certainly a first-world complaint, but I thought I would mention it in case somebody else was thinking of buying the app and felt this would be a deal breaker. Minus one star for the inconvenience. Fix this minor bug and it's back to 5.
This is an outstanding app. Works great on iPad Mini, Mini w/ Retina, and iPhone 5. Integrates well with Apple maps. This is not some clumsy add-on. It operates and feels like it's baked right in to IOS.
Waste of money - marketed as companion to new Apple Maps app but does not tie into it and simply uses similar user interface of previous app (i.e. curled R lower "paper" border) but the street view functionality is clunky, advances poorly when one tries to move down a street, and does not spot advance when one taps further up a road like the current Google Maps, though it does use it's current graphics. If u like Apple Map's current TomTom-powered user interface/graphics (which is crisper and more intuitive than Google's in my opinion), then use it and go to the Google Maps App for Street View or when Apple Maps is wrong about an address or phone number, which it still occasionally is. I rarely write a bad review, but here I really do feel like I've been cheated.
WARNING: Highly addictive
This is by far the best 3D maps app I have downloaded.
A bit ago I discovered that on google GPS maps you could look inside certain buildings and immediately got hooked. Now not everything of course is uploaded but still a fair deal of a few museums and such.
But unlike many other apps this app will allow you to browse by floor.
One thing that is annoying is you can't drag the figure to a dot in the map, but this method they have is actually easier.
One other drawback is that you really need to zoom in deep to see all the available dots.
But probably by far the best non-gaming app I downloaded since Dolphin.
