---- HIGHLIGHTS ----
This app will help you:
*trim a bit of fat
This app will help you do that by:
*tracking workouts in greater precision than any other app (sets, reps, weight, rest intervals, tempo, daily body fat, and daily body weight).
*providing you detailed insights and feedback through multiple types of graphs, some also not available on any other app.
*giving you the absolute best workouts.
*helping you establish realistic targets for muscle mass as it relates to body fat.
*helping you improve technique using iOS' first bar path analyzer.
Don't see the exact workout routine you were looking for? Make one. Want to share it with friends/clients? Upload it through the app so others can use your programs.
The MultiYear Training System is available for $9.99/month, $19.99/3 months, or $49.99/year. You can subscribe through your iTunes account. Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Auto-renew may be turned off by going to your iTunes Account Settings after purchase.
After you complete a workout, the next workout will automatically adjust (weight/rep/set increments and decrements) to respond to performance levels in the previous workout. That means workout tracking and body tracking couldn't be simpler. Single tap to create a new workout, single tap to save what you did — done.
Strongur also supports Apple’s Health app.
Realistic targets keep you on track. Statistical analysis has shown that a beginner can expect a strength gain of about 30% in the first 90 days. Additional gains in strength are gradual and due to an interplay between neuromuscular improvements and hypertrophy. A 5'9" (1.75m) man can expect to gain about 15 lb (7kg) of muscle in the first year. Expect 3-5 years to reach your natural maximum.
These are your targets. Feel free to smash through them.
*Using a premium program and want to restore the original program? You can do that from now on.
*Crash on startup
*Layout bugs in the charts for iPads
*Chain and band exercises are not counted towards your benchmark lifts

Update gave it kinks it needs to work through
They added a much more in depth workout plan that is geared towards a six day a week workout plan. I liked the phase plans because it gave flexibility for people who only worked out 3-4 times a week. The new multi year phases took that option away. It's geared for a Monday Tuesday Wednesday etc plan. It doesn't say what to do if you miss a day of workouts. The new plan seems like it really focuses on a lot of different movements and includes cardio. Wide grip, close grip, side movements etc. Not sure if these plans will increase strength as it seems more to physical appearance. The plan also divides some exercises into left and right side but doesn't distinguish how many reps for which side. Finally there is no countdown clock for when you should start your next lift. The only timer is the one that says how long you've had the workout open, not how long it has been between your sets. Which is a huge annoyance for me
You can swipe to delete cardio days. Movement variations are meant to address common technique deficiencies. Do each side for the prescribed number of reps. And you can turn the timer on from the workout navigation bar button.
This took a little learning curve to get used to for a beginner, but once I understood all the features I would never use anything else! Has allowed me to track and progress very steadily for the last 14 months, going from beginner to intermediate lifting. The data on each of the lifts with charts tracking each muscle group makes it easy to zero in on weaknesses to target, and the progress numbers keep motivation up.
Are there things that could be improved? Sure. But the developer is extremely responsive to feedback and the app is constantly updated and improved. All you need to do is ask for a fix or a feature and chances are it will happen.
New update is a pain
EDIT FOR RESPONSE: I really don’t have a plan, my exercise selection switches day to day. Also, my weights change every workout. So, everyday I’d have to customize the workout.
PLEASE make the automatic sets/reps/RIR a setting. I workout and use this app every single day and it’s become so much more difficult.
The new update adding the automatic sets/reps/RIR is a huge pain when trying to add a workout. The main problem is that the automatic sets/reps don’t match the sets/reps from when I previously did the workout. Even so, I prefer starting with no or 1 set and adding sets based on that since my program follows a pyramid scheme. If the sets and reps are automatically there, I have to spend a lot of extra time scrolling to get the proper weight/reps instead of just pressing the plus and adding from the last set.
Try using the spontaneous workouts mode.
