This is the full feature Stryd iOS app, capable of

1. Personalized running insight to prevent injury and hit new PRs

2. Second by second graphs and data analytics to analyze your workouts

3. An easy to find history of all of your runs

4. Log activities indoors and outdoors

5. Update device firmware and upload offline data

Note that, Stryd uses GPS in the background to track your running distance and pace, and continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Stryd also integrates with the Health app in order to get access to the heart rate data from Apple Watch.

Awesome product, app feels like a work in progress

Let me preface this by saying that the Stryd footpod is great. I've had mine for two weeks now, and I love all the data in getting from it.

This app, however, feels unfinished. It's lacking a lot of the functionality of the website (which still feels like it could use some work, but is at least cleaner and more useful). It's missing some of the metrics available on the website, like ground contact time and vertical oscillation, as well as the ability to overlay graphs to look at, for example, power as it relates to elevation. It's also completely missing the "improve" tab, which provides some very handy insight.

Can’t talk to the device via App.

The hardware is great. I love my physical pod and thank goodness the ANT works so I am still getting data from it loaded from my Fenix 5. Ever since I updated to iPhoneX I can no longer get app to do anything with the actual device. I try pairing and unpairing. I get forever spinner. Device appears on list and shows linked but everywhere in app says activate device. I see device blink but forever spinner never returns. Tried killing Bluetooth on phone and restarting. Restarting app etc. nothing. Can’t update, read or adjust. It has data from my runs because of the Garmin and TrainingPeaks. So I guess as long as device keeps working I don’t need updates but frustrating to not be able to talk to the pod.

Cool device, horrible software

The hardware works well, sending real-time power reading to Garmin. However, having all the data in the world available is worthless if there is no way to analyze it in a meaningful way. This is where Stryd fails. For instance, on the website there’s an “August run” example on the Analysis page that you cannot delete and it always defaults to, regardless of how many runs you’ve done despite what their FAQs say. Another problem is that nearly every run uploads twice and the data doesn’t necessarily match one another. The app crashes routinely. Their customer service takes days to reply to emails. For the cost of the device, one would expect a much more polished software/hardware interface.
