Stuff I Need is a list management productivity tool. It allows you to create and edit lists for shopping, to do lists, and other categories. The number of types of lists can be edited by the user as well as the detailed content options for each.

Created lists are dated and can be saved, edited, and reminders can be scheduled for each. Each list type (Grocery, To Do, Home and Garden, Super Store, etc) has their own separate possible list of items that can be included, and each such set of selections can be edited by the user.

A number of standard category lists are included as defaults, and any number of area specific dated lists can be created and edited. List data can be shared with other iOS devices on the same iTunes account using Apple Cloud options.

The List Display shows the current user defined list types created. When the app is installed, it is set with an initial set of five list types: Grocery, To Do, Home and Garden, Super Store, and Misc. Any of these can be deleted and replaced with entries that are more suitable for your area.

Once a list type is selected, the currently defined dated lists of that type are shown. The list type is shown at the upper area just below the navigation bar. Any number of dated list can be created. Any dated list can be scheduled so that a reminder about that list occurs at a user set time/date. List data can be shared with other iOS devices on the same iTunes account using Apple Cloud options.

Dated lists can be duplicated or deleted as needed. Each dated list can include any number of items such as grocery list or a ToDo list. A default set of list options are provided when the app is installed and each is editable by the user to set the options they need. The status of each item in a dated list is shown as either completed or not, with a different font/icon for each.

List data can be shared with other iOS devices on the same iTunes account using Apple Cloud options. Cloud options control how lists can be configured across two or more iOS devices using data stored in the Apple Cloud system. When two or more iOS devices are on the same iTunes account, then can share lists if desired. This allows the user to create and/or edit a list using one iOS device and have the same list data on one or more other devices.

List data can also be shared with other iOS devices using Bluetooth technology to transfer the data between devices.

The app includes the option to display the current temperature, based on location and information from WeatherBug. WeatherBug supports the USA and other areas around the world. See for information about your area.

Stuff I Need is designed for Apple iOS 5.x and iPhone 3GS/4/4S/5/5s/5c, iPad, and later devices.

Does not work consistently

I thought that this would be a good solution for synchronizing a shopping list between iPhone and iPad, but I was wrong. The first thing that was wrong was that there is an imbedded list, which has to be changed to correspond to an actual list. On the iPhone it was difficult to edit/delete items because the font was so small. I managed to create a useful list that did sync to the iPad. Then I went to the store. Everything was fine for a while. When you put something in the cart, you swipe the item and it is crossed out and sent to the bottom. It worked at first, then there were items that could not be crossed out. I tried swiping from the left, from the right or just tapping. Nothing happened. If I can’t keep the list up to date, then it is of no value.
I deleted it from both devices. We now use Apple’s reminders, which syncs with not just the iPad and iPhone but also with my MacBook Pro. Also it is a native app for Apple.
This cost $0.99, which would have been OK had it worked as it should have, but it turned out to be a waste of a dollar.

Please support multiple iCloud accounts

I followed instructions to setup my phone and my wife's phone under different iCloud accounts and then adding a second shared iCloud account to each phone. This app doesn't let me choose that second iCloud account though. See the native Notes app for an example of working well with multiple iCloud accounts.

This app provides the best of both worlds - simplicity and powerful features. Love the ability to store master lists for each category, iCloud syncing, and Bump data exchange. Great app.
