Ratings and Reviews
Dear Subaru, please just remove this app
Really, there is simply no reason for this to exist. The car works fine without it, CarPlay/Android Auto works fine, Bluetooth/Pandora works fine, and the integrated travel link app works fine all without this installed on your phone. What does this app do? It adds a sub par navigation (just use your phone or the integrated Tom Tom Mac they’re much better) and a host of other “apps”, most of which don’t work at all. I mean, they don’t even attempt to work properly it’s one comical “fail” after another while clicking around the screen. To add the final icing on this cake this apps KILLS your battery life, running in the background all the time and using about 50% of your battery life according to the iPhone statistics. I could no longer get through a day on a charge until I finally just deleted this app. That might be worth it if it did something useful, but that is not the case. Just skip it. It does nothing, doesn’t even attempt to do anything useful. Again I recommend to Subaru that they just stop offering this.
Remove this app
This app is actually a black eye for this company. I love my car but this app lacks any usefulness what so ever. It actually shows the lack of technology this company is willing to add for a user experience rather then improving on current functions. I had high hopes for this. Then I realized it was such an epic fail. This app soils the bed for Subaru. What would we want? Something to expand the cars functions or entertainment value. It’s great we have that big old screen in the dash that’s basically a glorified radio. The only app that is semi useful is the app to get the car to unlock but you guys don’t even give any trial to that software. It cost me 100$ just to get functions my wife’s Chevy offers for 1 year free! Granted I get it can’t be free forever but my god if the car wasn’t a reliable mode of transportation I would have drove it back on the lot and bought a different vehicle. Please do something useful with this app or just remove it from the App Store. The ratings don’t lie! It’s a pile of burning trash.
Exasperation - I will no longer recommend Subaru
I finally figured out how the have a safe, highly operational entertainment/info system in my car...
I purchased an Audi.
Good riddance Subaru!!
I will NEVER own a Subaru again.
The lying and playing dumb (pretending that they are unaware of any issues with their system) was just too much.
WARNING... The Subaru car company is not what they pretend to be... fake concern for safety and diminished customer service.
I love my Audi... It’s safer and I receive far better customer service and honest interaction from my Audi dealer.
Not even worthy of being in the Apple App Store.
I remember Stephen Jobs saying of Apple products 'it just works'... not so much for Apple products with a Subaru.
After being a devoted Subaru owner... almost a year with my 2017 Forester and my third Subaru in the past 15 years... this will defiantly be my last Subaru.
The Subaru company no longer has integrity.
I was knowingly mislead by my dealer when I purchased the vehicle... 'it works 'oh-so-well' with an iPhone'.
I just don't understand why Subaru plays dumb and pretend as if their Starlink system is safe and reliable and something wonderful... it is not.
The 'Love' advertisement campaign is laughable and offensive to those of us who now know that Subaru is not what they pretend to be.
