View subtitles on your iOS device synchronized with television or movies on your TV, or at the cinema.
Brilliant for when you're at a cinema watching a movie, and you need subtitles in your native language!
Great also for the hearing impaired or deaf community.
Satisfied users have described this app as "awesome" and "a godsend".
Subtitles available in English, Spanish(Español), Arabic(العربية), Bengali, Chinese(中文), Danish(dansk), Dutch(Nederlands), French(français), German(Deutsch), Greek(ελληνικά), Japanese(日本語), Javanese(basa Jawa), Hebrew(עברית), Italian(italiano), Korean(한국어), Malay(bahasa Melayu), Polish(język polski), Portuguese(português), Punjabi, Russian(русский язык), Sweden(Svenska), Thai(ไทย), Turkish(Türkçe) and Vietnamese(Tiếng Việt).
Subtitles are downloaded from the huge database of subtitles at opensubtitles.org. As subtitles are contributed to opensubtitles by volunteers, the time it takes for subtitles to become available after a movie release can vary.

Subtitles for HOH and Deaf, YES!!
This app is a true gift. It's easy to use, has a mass selection of films from the open subtitles database, and it's highly cost effective after the initial promo. It's great because the theaters near me do not have captioning services. So I use sub viewer to better enjoy the movie as opposed to traveling a long distance to a more pricey movie theater!
I also love that I can change the font size for the subtitles on screen, I can pause or move forward/backward to lines I missed, and the screen is free of any ads and perfect for a dark theater.
I think it's also a low-power use app so if you stream a three hour movie in Theater it's not likely to drain the battery. And if you have problems the support team are very helpful with issues when they can. Thank you sub viewer! :)
Great app, great selection!
I was amazed that it even had closed captioning for Civil War. If you can't get closed captioning and you need it, this can solve it for you (does cost beyond the first few trials).
Would be 5* if you could have more configurability of the caption display, and the option to use your own collections of captions or public collections of captions for free.
Endless selection, works perfectly
This works perfectly and the movie selection is gigantic. I'm not too often in a situation where I needed, but when I do, it really comes in handy. Recently friends of mine watched the 1960's La Dolce Vita without subtitles (because that all speak Italian) so this app really was perfect!
