Subway Shuffle is now on sale for $0.99, down from US $1.99 regular price!
See Subway Shuffle Lite for a free version of Subway Shuffle containing the first six levels, and a sampling of four harder ones. Give it a try! Warning, it is addictive (just see the reviews).
Subway Shuffle represents a new concept in puzzling -- this is not a repackaging of puzzles you've seen elsewhere. Designed and developed by an MIT computer scientist, these puzzles pack a maximum of challenge and complexity into a deceptively simple layout.
Here's the setup: you are riding the subway, and your task is to reach your destination. The problem is, there are other subway cars in your way! Each subway car can move only on its own color line: the red cars on the Red Line, the blue cars on the Blue Line, etc. Can you shuffle the cars from station to station, eventually moving your own car to your exit station?
Subway Shuffle comes with 100 different layouts of increasing difficulty, each a self-contained puzzle in spatial reasoning and logic. The early levels are fairly easy; they help you learn the techniques you will need to solve the later levels. If you get stuck, a "hint" button will show you the next move.
Congratulations to puzzle guru Nick Baxter, who solved level 99! Of course, we had to design a new one, even harder. We thought 99 was beyond human capability, but we were wrong. How about level 100? We'll see...
These features are new in version 2.0:
* Level selection screen for easier navigation.
* Record of solved / unsolved levels.
* Multiple level sets, including "Aubrey's Favorites": the very best levels.
* Undo / redo move.
* Improved command interface.
* Preferences for sound and appearance.

What's New in Version 2.0.8
9 new levels, for a total of 100
Great game for non-gamers
I'm not much of a gamer (with the exception of backgammon and the NYT crossword puzzles, both of which are well supported on the iPhone), but this game has me completely hooked. The puzzles achieve just the right mix of being challenging but solvable. The clean interface and easy playability are very appealing and it's one of those games you can pull out and gnaw on for a few minutes every so often without having to start over or "lose your place." This new puzzle concept is brilliant and I find it a great mental exercise. Highly recommended and well worth the price.
Great puzzle game, even for "pick up & play" Truly Addictive.
This game looked interesting and had a good rating. I downloaded the free "lite" version that had several levels. I had my iPhone with me on thanksgiving when I tried it. Not only was I hooked, but the 2 other people there downloaded the game and we were all helping each other solve the ones we were having problems with. I got it on sale for $.99, but it's worth much more. I never had any problem with glitches or anything that I have read here. Excellent game! Truly Addictive.
GREAT PUZZLE GAME
I've had this game on every iOS device I've owned since 2008. Needless to say I recently updated & created a new ID. The first thing I did was find & download Subway Shuffle, really. I can't name another app that I've had since day one IOS that I go to as often as this one. I wonder why the developer abandoned it? It is a great game, perhaps he felt there was nothing else to improve on. I could almost agree. It's a great game and for the price and there is nothing to regret. Go for it, no disappointment here!
