Messed up!!

UPDATED REVIEW: I used to love this app. Then they "updated" it and made everything more difficult! Logging on with a whole email address and password instead of just a phone # or PIN just prolongs everything. The app doesn't even work, with errors about your cart when you try to add your first item that took way too long to build in the first place. So then going online looks like it's going to work until you're ready to pay and place order but then THAT freezes up. I want the old versions that used to work!! The only reason it gets 2 stars is because I used to love it and I have faith that they can fix it!
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I love this app!! I use it at least once a week - sometimes more. The app saves my orders so all I have to do is login, look at my past orders and pick the one I want. That saves time. And even more time is saved when I walk into the restaurant and can skip the long line by just going to the counter to sign for my sandwich that's ready to be picked up. I love it! Since the most recent update on 10/19, I'm unable to get into the app. But surely they will fix this and I'll be so very pleased again. Until then, I just go to their website, login and order from there. Easy-peasy!!! Thanks Subway!!

Will subway ever allow people to remove certain meats from sandwiches???

I like to order the spicy Italian sub but hate the sub-par pepperoni and get it with JUST THE SALAMI!!! I have to stand in a long line every time I eat at the subway in Bellaire TX because I cannot order this on your app! I asked the person who makes it to substitute additional salami for the pepperoni. Sometimes there’s an extra fee for this sometimes there isn’t but I will pay it if there is because I don’t want pepperoni. I would save a ton of time if I could order this through the app and just pick it up but nope. I tried when app first came out and tried again when they revamped the app. You can customize everything else about your sandwich but God forbid if you want to remove one of the meats. If you swipe right on the meat to remove it there’s a little lock symbol so this was done intentionally! Subway, quit dictating meat choices on my spicy Italian sandwich!! If I don’t want your crappy pepperoni then let me remove it on the app so I don’t waste 10 Minutes standing in line to order this!!!

Also what is up with the napkins behind the counter at your restaurants? I come in and the tables are filthy and my husband is standing in line to order and I want to sit down. There are no napkins out to wipe off the tables. Are they really so precious that you have to keep them behind the counter where customers can’t get to them and they’re only allocated to two per sandwich?

Where’s the Rewards

The app is convenient when it works. I say that because so often I go through the pains of buying online and I get to the end and get an error. This happens frequently. I resubmit, start over , etc. same stupid error message. And there is no one to call and ask for assistance. I keep the app current on my iPhone. The next day it may or may not work again. I also think going through the menu is slow and clumsy.

I also try to get my order straight in advance so when I am ready and I hit the purchase button I know it will be fresh. This is typically the time I am hurried and do not want to step through the menu. But I still want Subway Fresh, right. But today something changed and when I went back to my order to submit payment it appeared to be missing. So I ordered all over again and then noticed I had two subs in the queue. So I had to figure out how to cancel one of them. My order changed slightly and I couldn’t tell which one I was canceling.

So what is my reward for continuing to use the app and buy from Subway. There is none. No rewards for buying your subs 3-4 days a week. No extra discounts. No buy 4 get the 5th free. Nada. And I don’t expect anyone will respond to my input. So Surprise me, Subway.
