▻Sudoku is Sudoku with Point System, Runs, and Online Leaderboards. Discover the next evolution of Sudoku with amazing graphics, animations, and ease of use. This is a Sudoku like one you have never experienced before ;)
...Thousands of puzzles, all free. Top class puzzles with selectable level of difficulty :)
To the classic Sudoku, we added:
=> A smart point system, wherein your score is based on 1) the value of each number multiplied (at the time of its match) by a multiplier that decreases in time and 2) the value of each block, row, column multiplied (at the time of its completion) by the decreasing multiplier
=> Thanks to Game Center, you can now rank and compare Sudoku scores and achievements against friends and strangers
=> ▻Sudoku also counts the runs, that is, each uninterrupted sequence of games won, and adds them to the online leaderboards
In ▻Sudoku, you win a game when you solve a puzzle with 3 errors or less (we used this threshold to give a bit of slack for mis-tapping :) Also, you have a number of hints to help you play (more at the easy, less at the hard level). To fit any taste, you can choose between a lush tile look or a more classic board look :)

Just a few minor issues
First of all, the game plays pretty well. Being able to outline the numbers in green is helpful. Now for the negatives, and these are more of a personal preference. First, I cannot stand the timer and the score multiplier, at least you can hide the timer in the options, but I wish you could do the same with the score. My second issue is the fact that the game will not let you accidentally put a number in the wrong spot. For some that may sound like a plus, but for me I would much rather be allowed to make a mistake that will mess up the current game, and then have to go back and try to find the mistake on your own in order to complete the current game. The other part of this is that I have large fingers and it's very easy for me to press the wrong buttons. So I've accidentally put the wrong tiles on spaces I meant to put the correct tiles, resulting in getting an "X" under the board, pretty annoying😒 Basically I'm looking for an app that is pretty much just like playing it on paper, with little to no help. This game is almost there, it's just those two issues that kill the experience for me.
Great game not so great scoring
This is one of my "go to" games. It was one of the first games I downloaded years ago when I got my first smart phone. I love the interface, the colors, the layout. The highlighting of the buttons makes it easy to see which number you are working on. The note function is great. I usually turn the sound off on any game I'm playing, but I actually like the sound effects!
My only real issue is with scoring. Why is the score based on which number I "finish"? Currently you get a higher score if you finish all the 9's or 8's first. Sudoku is a game about patterns, not the actual value of the numbers you're entering in the squares. The scoring should be based on finishing any given number not the numerical value of that number. I finished a game in less time, with the multiplier at a higher number than my last game but had a lower score because the pattern of the lower numbers (1,2,3) was easier to figure out than the higher numbers (7,8,9). Please change this or have the option to turn the scoring off.
Good app but...
There are some issues that need to be worked out. I've just noticed that despite my phone being on silent, any time a game is finished and a new game begins, the first tile I touch makes a sound. The first time this happened, I double checked and sure enough my phone was silent but perhaps I was hearing things? Nope, it still happens...
I also wish the buttons were a little more sensitive. Going back and forth between the notes function and the live tiles, I often click the notes button to turn it on and end up laying a live tile because it didn't actually kick on. Of course when this happens it is typically the wrong tile that goes down and I get a penalty mark.
Also with the screen sensitivity, many times I accidentally grab the wrong tile but it's too late and I get a penalty. I wish there was some sort of time delay where if you press the correct tile within like .2 seconds it would let you put that one down and not be penalized.
Otherwise this is the best sudoku app I've found in the App Store.
