I installed this app for hints, not for solutions. Since hints do not display, it is not usable.
The app installed and worked smoothly. Entering your puzzle is easy. When you press Solve, it has the solution ready before you can press Reveal.
The GUI has a slide bar with four detente. Position 1 displays the puzzle. After you’ve pressed Solve, Position 2 displays the notes; that is, all the possible numbers for each cell using the basic rules. The third and fourth detentes are supposed to display hints but make no change to the display. Pressing Reveal shows the complete solution.
I uninstalled the app and re-installed it. It made no difference.
If you just want to cheat, this app will solve your puzzle for you. However, if you want to get a little help so you can learn to solve Sudoku puzzles on your own, this version of the app is useless. Maybe a future version will work better.
Nice in that one can input numbers into a blank puzzle. Solves correctly, needs to do better at apply pointing pairs from a box along their row/column to eliminate possibilities. Also, SodukoSolver could not offer a hint beyond my own efforts in the puzzle I typed in. Would be nice to suggest complex advanced strategies as hints for tough puzzles, such as pointing out "hidden quads" or "Y-wing chains". Or at least, state that best strategy at a certain point may be a random choice.
it's trash but why not give 5
