▻Sudoku is Sudoku with Point System, Runs, and Online Leaderboards. Discover the next evolution of Sudoku with amazing graphics, animations, and ease of use. This is a Sudoku like one you have never experienced before ;)
...Thousands of puzzles, all free. Top class puzzles with selectable level of difficulty :)
To the classic Sudoku, we added:
=> A smart point system, wherein your score is based on 1) the value of each number multiplied (at the time of its match) by a multiplier that decreases in time and 2) the value of each block, row, column multiplied (at the time of its completion) by the decreasing multiplier
=> Thanks to Game Center, you can now rank and compare Sudoku scores and achievements against friends and strangers
=> ▻Sudoku also counts the runs, that is, each uninterrupted sequence of games won, and adds them to the online leaderboards
In ▻Sudoku, you win a game when you solve a puzzle with 3 errors or less (we used this threshold to give a bit of slack for mis-tapping :) Also, you have a number of hints to help you play (more at the easy, less at the hard level). To fit any taste, you can choose between a lush tile look or a more classic board look :)
You gain access to medium level after you win the easy level 2 times consecutively, same for hard level (3 times)

What's New in Version 5.4
This Sudoku update includes improvements and bug fixes
Just a few minor issues
First of all, the game plays pretty well. Being able to outline the numbers in green is helpful. Now for the negatives, and these are more of a personal preference. First, I cannot stand the timer and the score multiplier, at least you can hide the timer in the options, but I wish you could do the same with the score. My second issue is the fact that the game will not let you accidentally put a number in the wrong spot. For some that may sound like a plus, but for me I would much rather be allowed to make a mistake that will mess up the current game, and then have to go back and try to find the mistake on your own in order to complete the current game. The other part of this is that I have large fingers and it's very easy for me to press the wrong buttons. So I've accidentally put the wrong tiles on spaces I meant to put the correct tiles, resulting in getting an "X" under the board, pretty annoying😒 Basically I'm looking for an app that is pretty much just like playing it on paper, with little to no help. This game is almost there, it's just those two issues that kill the experience for me.
Good app but...
There are some issues that need to be worked out. I've just noticed that despite my phone being on silent, any time a game is finished and a new game begins, the first tile I touch makes a sound. The first time this happened, I double checked and sure enough my phone was silent but perhaps I was hearing things? Nope, it still happens...
I also wish the buttons were a little more sensitive. Going back and forth between the notes function and the live tiles, I often click the notes button to turn it on and end up laying a live tile because it didn't actually kick on. Of course when this happens it is typically the wrong tile that goes down and I get a penalty mark.
Also with the screen sensitivity, many times I accidentally grab the wrong tile but it's too late and I get a penalty. I wish there was some sort of time delay where if you press the correct tile within like .2 seconds it would let you put that one down and not be penalized.
Otherwise this is the best sudoku app I've found in the App Store.
Really awesome for a free app.
Update: Most of the issues I had with the UI from before have been resolved. I'm glad that pausing no longer takes away multipliers, too! Still my favorite Sudoku app, and I come back to it often these days. It has made me a better Sudoku player overall haha.
For the most part, this is a fabulous sudoku app. I like that the rounds are timed--adds a little more suspense. I also really like that it's connected to GameCenter.
My only problems are with the touch responses and the pause screen. Whenever you pause (either by accident--tapping a blank square too many times prompts the pause screen to show up--or on purpose) takes a multiplier away automatically. I also accidentally tap the ads A LOT, since they're so close to the number row and I have fat finger syndrome. Any time you come back from an ad click-away, you lose another multiplier. Super-aggravating when you're on a roll and you're about to beat your old high score. Combined, these are the only reasons I'm taking away a star.
Other than the minor UI annoyances and how little stupid things cause your multiplier to decrease, this really is a great Sudoku app (even better that it's free!). I don't like using normal Sudoku apps now that I'm so used to racing against the clock!
