If your diabetic or hypoglycemic this is a must have!

Thank u to our Troops!

If your type II diabetic or hypoglycemic etc. this is a must have. I can quickly enter my sugar levers with the time (before breakfast or after dinner etc.) with any notes if I want like feeling dizzy or had a piece of cake as well. Once I enter this info it will automatically tell me if i’m in the range but most important to me, it automatically tracks it. I’m a 37 year old man who does not like tracking my sugar (testing the blood) or tracking it in any consistent manner even though I need to. This helps me get the critical information for my doctor with minimum effort from me or time. I can then show my physician what my levels are before a certain time of day or meal and any patterns that may exist by simple clicking on the report options in the app. It’s not a perfect app but it helps me out tremendously with getting in line with my new reality as a diabetic and that means maybe a few years down the road with my kids. Its free as well so if your like me and don’t use any other consistent way of tracking your sugar, give this a try!

Great start!

Review #1: This is a really great app so far. Easy to set up, and manage. I'm still learning it, but as you can see from the title, it's been a great start. I copied all of my entries from the paper log book into the app in about 30 minutes. The report looks like it will be fairly detailed. Overall, my initial impression is very good.

Review #2: I still think the interface is very user friendly. I’ve experienced a minor slow down in app performance over the last month or so. The reporting is really great, though. My doctor appreciates the level of detail, and I’ve been able to get a good handle on my sugar for the first time in years of being diabetic. That alone makes the app worthwhile, even with the complaints. 4 stars! Definitely a good app for people who struggle with reliably keeping a log.

Review #3: I edited my previous update, based on new information regarding my iPhone 6 SE. The app is a little bit slower now that it’s holding more data, but it is not excessive. The app is very reliable, and I’m having significant success in managing my blood sugar because this app has helped me keep better track of things.

NOTE: The previously reported battery drain concerns are due to the age of my iPhone 6 SE, combined with the added battery strain caused by iOS updates associated with iPhone X feature enhancements being added.

Developer Response

Hi there,
Thank you so much for your review and detailed feedback- so sorry that you are seeing the slowdown in the app as well as the battery issue. We are monitoring and looking into these issues, would you mind sending us a note at so we can gather a few more pieces of information that would help while we investigate?
Thank you!

Nice, simple, not littered with adds but beware of data loss

I have been using this app for several months happy that I wasn’t being constantly nagged to buy something or pay to unlock a feature or watch an add to continue use (ahem, like the leading competitors). Every day I dutifully logged my stats, and as any long term iPhone user also backed up my phone (iCloud and local Mac) very frequently.

Unfortunately my latest beloved idevice failed, and upon purchasing a new one I confidently plugged it in and initiated a restore from a backup just a few hours old. I expected to have to do some light reconfiguring, maybe update an app or to, and was glad to see the Health app retained everything. Next I open this app to add my blood glucose test and am horrified to be greeted by the initial setup screen (as if a new user). I hurriedly put in some details hoping for the best....nope, ALL is gone!

In a mild panic I initiated a new restore, this time from the cloud, maybe my local (encrypted) backup was bad.....nope!!! Same issue. So I contacted the developer and was advised if you don’t create an account you (syncing data through them) you are out of luck.....

So I’m a bit stunned that an app such as this doesn’t make use of a local backup as many others with vital data do. I think they should make that abundantly clear, and probably force users to make an account rather than making it seem like a nice thing to do.....
