What's New in Version 2.0.203
Minor bug fixes.
I wish AirPlay worked
I use my iPad to watch the games. The quality is pretty good. However, I have to Mirror my screen to get it to work on my AppleTV. This means I need to keep my iPad turned on, screen on, and watching the game. After watching 1 game, my battery (even plugged in) loses about 20%, and it's incredibly hot. Last Sunday it actually got so hot it turned off my iPad with a heat warning. It's an okay app, but would be much better if I could do AirPlay the real way & shut down my screen.
When a game is paused, it goes right back to the live point when it's played again. What's the point of being able to pause if you can't just pickup where you left off?
Otherwise, the app is great. Love the Red Zone option, most games are available from the app. Good quality video. I don't have an Apple TV but would consider getting one if this app supported Air Play. But I would prefer a Roku app.
Embarrassingly Terrible-Should be negative stars!
Here in the 21st century, consumers have come to expect certain standards. One such expectation is reasonable picture quality from paid streaming services. And by reasonable, I don't even mean 1080p, 720p or even 480p. No, each of those resolutions would be nice, but DirecTV fails to even meet the lowest of watchable resolutions. A game recreated by Minecraft would be easier to watch. Unbelievable. This is definitely a JV effort and if I were shopping for this service, I would recommend NOT patronizing the company. Pass on this app and pass on the Sunday Ticket online. Both are terrible.
