The SunTrust Mobile App is optimized for your Apple device and is specifically designed to provide quick and secure access to your personal accounts. You can make payments, transfers, and mobile deposits, view account balances and account activity, as well as search for ATM / branch locations. Read further for details and other important information.
To get started, download and launch the app. Then sign on with your SunTrust Online Banking User ID and Password. It’s that simple.
-Option to view your personal account balances quickly without signing on
-View your personal account balances for Checking, Savings, Credit Cards, Lines of Credit, Access 3 & Installment Loans.
-View summary information for Mortgages, CDs, and IRAs.
-Search up to 180 days your personal account transaction history.
-Make mobile deposits (if eligible, limits apply).
-Make bill payments.
-View bill payment history.
-Make one time personal transfers.
-Make one time immediate payments to Installment Loans, Lines of Credit & Access 3.
-Make one time immediate advances from Lines of Credit & Access 3 including 3 advance options.

Leaves a lot to be desired
I currently have two accounts, one at Bank of America and one at SunTrust. SunTrust has a lot of catching up to do when it comes to the latest technology not just where the app is concerned but overall. When I mobile deposit is made, you don't see it as pending. It lacks the feature where you can pay the person electronically using their email or cell phone number. The images of deposited checks are also not shown. They still don't use the chip technology on their debit cards, which has been the standard in Europe since the early 2000s. There's also lack of any type of rewards for using the debit card. Quite frankly, this bank is still very outdated by the way they conduct business. You have to go to the branch for almost everything. I'm not bragging that Bank of America is the best, but I don't remember the last time I set my foot into a Bank of America branch for anything. When it comes to filling a claim against a merchant, Bank of America issues an immediate temporary credit. I've been waiting for the claim resolution with SunTrust for two months now. Plus, I had to fill out affidavits and had them faxed. Come on, is this still the 1985 style of banking? The app does the basics and nothing else, and even those basics leave a lot to be desired.
Works perfect for me.
I moved from Florida to Illinois. To a town where there aren't any Suntrust banks. And the closest one is nearly 50 miles away. This app lets me deposit my checks from work so that I don't have to pay any additional fees or set up a new bank account elsewhere. Also, It is very easy to view your account balance when you need to. Even before paying for something in line to make sure you have enough. The only problem I have with it is that sometimes the mobile deposit is a tad slow when it uploads your photos of the check. And that is hardly a problem… I haven't found anything else that is even slightly annoying ( the last update helped that).
SunTrust - Best Bank Ever!
I have banked with SunTrust for nearly 5 years now. They have always provided me with excellent and friendly service. Their banking apps offer the latest technologies available, such as deposits through the smart phone/tablet app without ever having to make a trip to the bank! Deposits made though the app before 9:00 PM M-F are credited to my account the same day, which is really convenient, and they are very easy to make. On the occasions when I need to speak with someone over the phone or in a branch, they always provide fast, efficient and friendly service. Keep up the great work, you've earned my business!
