What's New in Version 1.13
I honestly love this game.
At first, I was thinking that I wasted my money. Now that I have almost finished this game, I absolutely love it. I read other reviews and they seem to be negative, so I guess it depends on what you like from a game. I never would've thought I liked this game but I do very much. It may be "long" and "waiting on stuff" but its not. You can get everything done in a few hours probably. It's not very long if you actually put thought into the game and figure out what you're supposed to do and how. It does take a bit of thinking so if you like to mindlessly play your games, this one isn't for you. I would def recommend this game for 99 cents.
Becomes a grind
This game starts off wonderful. Beautiful music, mystery, fun graphics, humor, and a sense of wonder.
That disappears over time, when you realize that you'll spend most of your time wandering around, even when you do know what you need to do. Sometimes you'll even have to wait for certain phases of the moon. The real moon. You can change the phase in game, but it involves (once again) a lot of walking around.
The scope of this game was too large for the landscape, and developers got creative to make it longer. It's clever, but it's just far too tedious. I've had this game for some time, and I never got around to beating it. I haven't deleted it because I always said "maybe someday" but I'm now realizing "someday" will never come.
One of my favorite games ever
I rarely review things, and I’ve never once reviewed a game, but this game is brilliant; I’m surprised at how much I love it…I find myself halting gameplay so that I can savor it, draw it out as long as possible. Nostalgia is a word that gets thrown around a lot describing this game, and while there is some truth to it having a certain degree of nostalgia its also a new experience, the only thing I’ve ever played that really did a similar thing is Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. If you love those experiences this is perfect for you.
