Right Game, Right Price.
After learning about this game, I was quick to buy it. I can assure you that this game is a good buy. Note, this game is a very relaxed yet sometimes intense game. In some cases, the player can be a little frusterated if they forget what they are supposed to do. The music is perfect, I reccomend buying the soundtrack so you are familiar with the certain jams. A very interesting plot, and it's like no other game I've played before.
The price of the game is in the ball-park of what I would rate it. For a nice peaceful game like this, the price is just about right.
An interesting part of the game that I found was very intriguing was the "backstory". I won't give anything away, but in one of the soundtracks, there is a phone number said in a demonic voice. If you call that number, you may get a veirety of different strange messages. Really interesting, in my opinion. Lots of mystery is shrouded around this game. Overall, very good. Worth the money.
I was a little hesitant to buy the game after reading some of the more negative reviews, but I bought it anyway and I was not disappointed! Critics of the game say that it is too short and there isn't a lot of action, this is a pretty true statement but it did not bother me. The storyline is sweet but simple, there is not a lot of "action" per se, but if you enjoy going on quests and solving interesting puzzles with little direction this is the game for you! I really think the graphics are beautiful, I loved the pixelated style, and the soundtrack sets the tone perfectly for every environment. It is really more of an experience than anything, and that's something I can truly appreciate.
Flawed but beautiful
This game is gorgeous, reminiscent of some old PC games, but runs 100 times smoother. The game does so much with it's minimalist graphics, and the gameplay invokes emotion and wonder with its soundtrack.
Be warned, this is not a game for the action orientated. You have to find a calm state of mind to appreciate this game. 75% of this game is puzzles that free little woodland spirits that look similar to the rattle headed spirits in Spirited Away. The fighting system is a little awkward, but combat is a small part of the game.
The game is short, and there really isn't much too it. But the tone, the music, and the retro feel is great. I thoroughly enjoyed the game, despite it's flaws, it is a little work of art that I wish there was more of.
