Just with a few taps, create professional grade superimposed or juxtaposed photos on your iPhone! You don't need a computers and expensive software to superimpose or cut/copy/paste one photo on top of another any more.

Here is how it works...

1. Load a background image.
2. Load a foreground image.
3. Mask out unwanted portion of the foreground image using wide range of masking tools.
4. Smoothen the edges with smoothen tool inside the app, if required.
5. Move, Scale, Resize, Rotate, Flip the foreground to place it on the right location on the background image.
6. Adjust the colors/exposure/contrast/hue/saturation etc. of the foreground and the background images if required to match both the images in terms of colors.
7. You are done! Save it to the photo library at full resolution or share it on Facebook and Twitter.

You can also use this tool to do serious photo editing tasks like blending textures or overlaying borders or to do double exposure with adjustable transparency and 18 blending modes.

Masking in the app is the most powerful one available on the app store, just tap on an area of the photo, and the app will mask out all the connected area with similar colors. Or you can use brush, lasso, polygon, global color similarity, rectangle, ellipse, linear, bi-linear, radial gradient, mask from image or mask from text masking tools. Mask a portion with this tool and that portion of the foreground image will become transparent and reveal the background.

You can even drop a shadow of the foreground onto the background. (Only on iPhone 4S and above).

NOTE: The app saves at full camera resolution up to iPhone 5S, all 8 megapixels (even higher on iPad), just you need to enable high resolution save in the settings.

What's New in Version 4.5

Fixed new effects not being applied occasionally into the saved images.

Absolutely Amazing & Still My Favorite

I received my first iPhone as a gift on the day it was introduced in the United States. For the record that was on June 29, 2007. Over time, I've gained a good grasp on what makes an App outstanding.

When you've used it more than 500 times and CANNOT think of even one minor thing you'd change or add? That is 5 Stars and then some!

It's as if version 1.0 was made, tested for a while by the Developer, who then added more of exactly what you need and did so without adding useless junk. Then he repeated the process. Again and again until this final product is astonishing.

In an age where people mindlessly gravitate toward (and pay top dollar for) mediocrity, I'm so happy to see that some people still take such pride in their work.

favorite editing app without a doubt

I have been using Superimpose for almost two years and have honestly not found a single editing app better than this one. It may not be as fancy as photoshop but it works just as well in my opinion. I use it for all of my edits on Instagram (@nightlox - lol shameless self promo) and I truly just love this app. Superimpose is easy and simple to use and provides so many options on how to edit your pictures, it literally does it all. It's definitely worth the 98 cents and I would recommend it to anyone interested in photo editing!

Correction on my part. This is still a wonderful app.

I love how you can create things with this app. And I like how you can send an email if you are having troubles. The developer does respond. Trying to assist you. I kept trying to use share to save to camera roll. But it is photos I always use to save to. I am having crash issues with share. But I never really used it. I just kept using the wrong one. What ever troubles you may have don't give up on it. Remember this all apps are not perfect. They do have problems.
