Refresh is usually broken

About 50% of the time the app shows me yesterday's forecast. It's hard for me to give more than two stars with such a disruptive bug.

On a positive note, the UI is worlds better than the previous version. The biggest improvement is using a UISegmentedController instead of a toggle button to switch between the report and the forecast.

The wave height and wind charts are really nice, but they're quite small. I feel like they can be optimized. Why does anyone need to know the wave height or wind information one hour after dark or one hour before dawn? I suspect they don't. You could not show this and then use the extra real estate to make the graph bigger.

Another option, and I think I like this a bit better, is to not put the graph in a UIPageViewController - use a scroll view instead. Show both the wind and height graphs stacked on top of each other and use the scroller to show more data. This also allows a bigger font size. If you do this, I think you need to but the graphs in the same scroll view so that they scroll at the same time. The reason is that there's no use case for looking at 10am wind and 6pm waves at the same time.

The most important thing is fixing the refresh bug. Patch that and do a quick release before anything else please.

Fair to good

If there's more behind this one, it's gonna be pure goodness. I have had some issues with my favorites updating in a reasonable time (10 minutes to fetch "3-4' and fair" seems excessive). Just as a feature, I'd like to able to do a two- or three-finger swipe that just moves all my favorites through their forecasts in the favorites view. Three-finger swipe left: all favorites for tomorrow. Another three-finger swipe left: all favorites for two days out. Etc.

Overall, great update. Really. Just take the tail in a little and this thing will rip.

Know before you go...

The latest version is a huge improvement over the earlier versions. As cams are the main reason I use Surfline, having a paid (premium) account is a must, otherwise enjoy watching 30 sec ads before 15 sec (if that) peak at surf (be a lot cooler if it were free!!). I still get a quite a bit of hesitation and stalling and the occasional cam will randomly not play ("error loading video") (all while on high speed connection).

Otherwise, this app serves its purpose and have yet to come across anything close.
