Awesome game 9/10
The post-apocalyptic theme and clever gameplay mechanics put this game at the top of my list. I find myself playing this more than Hearthstone these days. I've been playing lots of Fallout 4 recently and I play this card game during loading screens. It's great because I feel like I'm always immersed in the same world. Fans of Fallout and Mad Max will enjoy how well the post-apocalyptic theme is represented in this card game.
Please add the ability to craft cards just like in Hearthstone. Allow us to breakdown excess cards in our collection into some form of crafting currency. You can sell packs of this crafting currency in the store, but the main source of the currency would be by breaking down cards that we already have three of. The game rewards the player with cards at a reasonable pace, but eventually rare cards seem to take a long time to earn. Card crafting would take this game to a 10/10.
Reminiscent of Card Wars
If you've ever played Card Wars this game will seem very familiar but don't be confused; It's not a clone with new graphics pasted over old images it's a different game with unique strategies that offer new opportunities. Game play is simple to learn but options are subtle enough that there will always be something new to learn. Graphics are good but a bit gritty (think Lost meets Mad Max). There are enough cards that replay ability is a non-issue; no two decks (even ai decks) are the same.
The only complaint is that while the game is self-described as a trading card game it doesn't offer the opportunity to trade cards. Maybe we'll see that as an in app option (even if it requires real world money to unkock). Despite that one shortcoming this game is overall quite stellar.
Intense Game but don't like the AI Comments
I emailed the developer and he is considering putting in an option to turn off the AI dialogue. The battlefield, the characters, and the game play is gritty and intense (fun too!) and having a speech bubble pop up with a comment from the AI seems completely out of place. I played Chef of the Wrench Clan and all he said was 'Meat' and 'More Meat', I don't need that. Anyway, please add the option to turn this off and I'll certainly rate this the 5 stars it deserves. This game is a refreshing change from wizards and orcs and I want to continue playing it. Thanks...
P.S Don't make the AI toooo difficult, especially early in the campaign. With the update installed, I just got beat pretty good on only the second mission. Played it before the update and won...hmmm
