What's New in Version 1.6.1
Minor bug fixes.
Fun and makes you think
I just downloaded this for my 9 year old who is in the middle of learning all of her multiplication tables from 1 to12. I though this would be a fun way for her to get them down. So far it is challenging - it's definitely more for kids who already have a base knowledge of their combinations and are just working on the getting them memorized. But it feels like you're playing a game instead of memorizing math. The only thing I don't know yet (having only completed one round so far) is how challenging it gets, esp with only 5 levels available… There is an addition component that I haven't tried as well.
Low education value and poor graphics
Scholastic is normally linked to great educational products. This app is confusing for the intended age group, making its maths educational usefulness doubtful. The graphics are also very low quality. I have found apps like Bright Spark Maths to be far better structured for this age range, and with better graphics as well
My 1st grader knows his multiplication and he easily memorizes the answers. He's learned a lot from this app and I love it that he loves it so much. He's only 7 years old and he already knows what 11X11 is.
