• Keep track of where you’ve been and who you’ve hung out with. After you check in we’ll show you interesting little insights like: “That’s 5 weeks in a row at bars!” or “That’s your 25th time hanging out with Courtney!”
*A note on battery. We’ve spent *years* developing the location technology that powers Foursquare Swarm, making it extremely power efficient. But, as with all apps of this type, continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
What's New in Version 4.16
New feed, who dis?
In this release you'll find that you can now easily switch between a feed of your friends' check-ins and your own personal check-ins. A quicker, simpler way to see where YOU have been.
We also made it much easier to search your history! The search bar will be more prominent in more places. Narrow your search by typing in the name of a friend, a city, type of place, or the specific name of the place you visited. Go ahead and take a little scroll down Memory Lane. It's quite nice this time of year.

Awesome app
I love everything about Swarm. I know there are quite a few apps out there that track location history, but I prefer the layout of Swarm and love how it integrates with Foursquare. I use it primarily for tracking where I've been and it comes in handy a lot if I need to look back at that history. Our family also uses it and it's nice to see where the others have been when someone goes on vacation or who's been there before or how many times.
Keeps Improving!
I've been using Foursquare since the beginning. When Swarm first replaced my beloved Foursquare app, I wasn't pleased.....at all. However, since their takeover, Swarm has continuously pushed to improve themselves. I was particularly happy to see Mayorships come back. While there is still much more room to grow, my faith in Swarm's dedication to improvement leads me to give this app 5 stars.
In love with this app again
I abandoned Swarm when it first came out. Absolutely hated that they split location sharing out of Foursquare into this new app. (Also the Swarm app really sucked when it first came out) Well, it's much better now. I like the competition among my friends and family that coins have sparked. It's great, I love it, download it.
