Description
Have an Apple Watch and love swimming? With Swimtivity, you can get credit for your swim workouts in the Apple Watch Activity Move ring--without risking your watch in the pool.
And if you did another type of exercise but forgot to wear your watch, you can add an "Other" workout with Swimtivity to get credit for those calories, too!
After your activity, use the Swimtivity Apple Watch app to enter your workout information. Swimtivity does a rough calculation of your calories burned. Or if you already know your calorie count, you can manually change Swimtivity's calculated calorie count to match. Workouts are saved to the Health app and the entered calories are counted towards your Move goal for the day.
When you enter an activity on your watch, a force press on the details page allows you to switch between yards and meters.
The iOS app displays a list of your activities.
Note: Due to limitations with the Health API, you will NOT get credit for the Exercise ring.
Please don't wear your watch in the pool; Apple doesn't recommend it, and it's not required for Swimtivity.
What's New in Version 1.1
- Enter time, distance, and calories using the digital crown! Did you go for an epic-length swim? Now you can log it faster than ever! Just tap the number you're editing and spin the crown.
- Tweaked the swim calorie calculation so distance now has a bigger impact on calorie counts.
If you enjoy this app, I'd love it if you would leave a review! I know it's a pain, but it's really helpful. Thanks!

1 for 2 getting data into Apple Watch Activity
Thanks for making this app. I think it must be an Apple WatchOS limitation, but this app loads the calories into the Apple Watch Activity app but not the time of the swim. So you get progress on the pink ring, but not the more challenging yellow ring where you try to get 30 minutes of Exercise per day. Hopefully at some point the Activity app will be able to update this in the rings. In the Activity app on the iPhone, you can scroll down the page, see your swimming workout under Other, and going into that it does show the exact minutes of your workout...so just update the yellow ring with those minutes. C'mon Apple!
So far so good!
I've been looking for a way to manually enter swim workouts, and this is the best app I could find. Super easy to install and set up, and entering swim workouts on the Watch is a breeze. I just entered my first workout and it instantly updated the "Move" ring on my Apple Watch. The only downside, which the developer clearly states in her notes, is that the app has no way of adding data to the "Exercise" ring. Maybe she'll find a workaround one day, but for now, at least, I can get credit for those 350-calorie swim workouts! Thanks, Jessie!
Does the job
With this app I'm finally able to keep track of my swims on my watch. It doesn't add to exercise just like it says on in the description. I do leave the timer going while I swim and just add just do the math with the calories between the workout app and what I actually did when I add the time and distance.
