Description

Dialpad is the business phone system with the simplest, most elegant interface you've ever experienced.

Today, work is a thing you do, not a place you go. Diaplad builds voice products with the way you work today in mind, offering a cloud-based platform with tools designed to give businesses a unified communications experience across all devices.

Dialpad enables companies to:

Work from anywhere: Take your business number with you wherever you go with apps for your computer and iPhone. Answer calls and texts from your mobile phone or desktop and switch seamlessly between devices mid-conversation.

Set up your entire company’s phone system in minutes: use your Google Apps, Office 365, or any combination of email and password to create your account. Customize your team settings by simply selecting items from a drop-down menu, and make changes on the fly as you grow. You can organize sales, customer support, and other departments with a virtual receptionist.

Integrate with Google, Office 365 and LinkedIn: Have your latest emails and documents at your fingertips for every call or conversation you and your team have. The Dialpad social profile will let you know who it is you’re talking to by showing LinkedIn profiles information, so you’ll always know who’s calling.

Control your calls: forward calls to anybody in your company just by searching for their name, record a call by pressing a button, and see co-workers’ presence to know when they’re available.

Decent, but not without issues.

I've used Dialpad for going on three years now and the service itself is generally quite good.

However, as with other reviewers, I am plagued with spam calls and there doesn't appear to be any way to avoid this. Number blocking is not helpful here as the numbers change daily. I spend so much time answering these calls then blocking them only to receive the same call again the next day. As a software engineer, I'm aware of the abundance of solutions out there to suppress automated calls — why is this not a priority for Dialpad?

Additionally, specific to this mobile app, notifications don't disappear after reading the message. No matter how many times I review a missed call, voicemail or message in the app the notification remains. It's pretty irritating and it seems like it should be an obvious one to address. I cannot trust notification indicators from Dialpad because they're constantly stale, sometimes it takes weeks for them to "disappear ".

I've also been experiencing an issue where I complete a call on my desktop and then as much as 10 minutes later I open the mobile app and it's showing the call as still being in progress.

There seems to be some major sync issues between the desktop and mobile platforms that are presenting usability issues for me. Between these and the spam calls I'm seriously considering my options for migrating to a new service.

Dialpad is Life changing

Dialpad has been the saving grace for my work from home/remote lifestyle. I’m based in Arizona with my entire team in Los Angeles and Dialpad has not only given me one number where clients can always reach me, but the team chat and texting features are perfect. I also love the fact that I can pick up a call on my computer or on WiFi on my cell phone as the reception in my home office is horrendous. The HD quality is one of my favorite features - it practically sounds like the person on the other end is in the room with you! I would recommend this to anyone who’s looking to simplify and stop using their personal cell phone number for work. Dialpad is perfect for work/life balance!

One update placed another issue comes

The iPhone app is useful however like the last review slow to update as to what is on the desktop.

Dialpad’s tag “Welcome to the Era of the Anywhere Worker” anywhere but your iPhone.

Notifications still haven’t been addressed for other numbers (company Dept etc) you simply wont get notified on your iPhone unless it’s the personal number and even then the notifications saying how many you have won’t disappear after you have read and further it won’t sync to iPad or vice versa - frustrating at best when you have left the desk.
