Works well need to know some things
This mobile app works very good but you do need to know a couple of things or you think the app has some issues. The main thing to know is how to flip the app from data to cellular. Depending on your LTE connection you may want to flip it to cellular mode. When I do this it works just fine. Also make sure you are not captured by a WiFi device that may keep you from getting and making calls. Again just flip it to cellular and it works great.
Version doesn’t work with iOS 12!
The current version 4.1.2 doesn’t work properly with iOS 12. Inbound calls to the app only get answered while the app is open. Digium knowledge base say this behavior will occur if notifications are turned off. Well when doing a + b testing on 2 phones at our office the iOS 12 phone with notifications on only gets calls with the app open and after at least one outbound call has been made. While the iOS 11 phone works as expected accepting calls while running in the background. Would not recommend until updated.
Calls work - other features do not
I am able to make and receive calls from the app, however I noticed the call log and contacts are two features that do not work. I’d love to know if there is a trick to getting them to function.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
