Open the Mac App Store to buy and download apps.
Sync Folder intuitively syncs a source folder to a destination folder. Sync Folder's user interface makes it the easiest to use file synchronization app on the app store. Simply put, it just works.
Sync Folder Supports the Following:
- Sync to External Drives
- Sync to other folders on the same drive
- Sync to a shared folder on another computer
- Sync in 15 minute increments
- Sync in Real Time as changes happen
- Runs in background
- Sync Manually anytime
- Only Syncs Changes
Many file synchronization apps sync whole files. Sync Folder only syncs file changes so you can rest assured that syncs will be performed quickly and painlessly.
Sync Folder runs quietly in the background so you will not be disturbed with annoyances while your folders are keeping staying synchronized.
Sync Folder is the easiest file and folder synchronization app that you can get for your Mac. You can run it on 2 computers to keep 2 remote folders in sync with each other.
I originally developed this app because I bought a second Mac and it makes it very difficult when you are working on 2 machines mostly in 2 locations. So what I did was have Sync Folder running on both computers and as long as they are syncing shared folders they will both remain up-to-date.
What's New in Version 1.1
- Added support for multiple source folders to sync to a single destination folder.
- Fixed a bug where the name of the folder was incorrect. The name will now be set to the destination folder that was selected.
- Fixed a few performance related issues.
Sync first worked, now never works
I liked the idea of this app because it seemed similar to Dropbox, but I can sync to my own external drive. The first setup worked and synced all the data from a folder, but after adding new items to the source it never synced. The settings is correct, live sync, but never works. I see it spinning, but nothing. I am not sure if it is because I am using Lion OSX, but if so it should at least point that out. I would try something else out if you want a syncing program.
Not a sync app
I bought this app since I need a app that does file syncing so I can work on file that are hosted on my server at work from home and that will sync the work that was done back to the server so it is availible for the project team to work from. VPN is just to slow and not an option.
This app only syncs in one direction. Don't buy this app. What a waste of money. I the developer reads this, update your app get it to do what you say it does or remove it from the app store. Don't give people the wrong impression.
Bad out of box experience
The app didn't finish its first sync, now it refuses to launch. Was easier to try a different app than it was to figure this one out.
