A “Must Have” Utility!
I’ve been searching for an alternative to Apple’s Dock for a long while (I’ve tried many) and Tab Launcher is by far the best utility app on the App Store and does so much more than the regular Dock… It’s the best organizer… Hands down!! TL is easily customizable, with a great look and feel and works very nicely when using multiple monitors, hooked up to a single Mac. What sold me immediately is that you can add and move tabs, on any edge of your screen(s) (I never did like apps that are glued to the OS top right menu bar) and you also have the ability to use Auto Hide, if you prefer. Apples Dock lacks so many features, it seems dated now after using TL. This is the best $4 spent and quite honestly, I would have bought it if the price tag was $20. To the developers of Tab Launcher, well done!
It is excellent! Almost makes up for the awful changes Apple has made to the finder.
This is an excellent appraoch, and I rely upon it. However, on 10.9.5 I have been noticing some weirdness when I click an icon. Plus, it does occasionally crash. I have done extensive customizing, so I like the way it looks, but it doesn’t seem to work as efficiently.
The Dock was a really nice concept ...back in 2001
The "Dock" needs an update: This is it.
Everything you need to be organized, like...
... having all currently running Apps in one dynamic tab, with thumb preview of and direct access to each window
... configurable actions for each button / icon (like sub menus or "open in finder" for folders, running scripts, etc)
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
