So useful, so pretty and unobtrusive => top notch

Mike Bradshaw (bmike)

I love elegant gadgets that help me simplify my life and Take Five does just that. It is well crafted, well thought out and is gorgeously designed.

It does exactly what is needed, nothing more.

I also appreciate reliable, small memory footprint apps and I've never once seen it soaking up CPU time, RAM or battery power. I don't like having a lot of add-ons in general, but this app is solid -- it feels like part of the OS and not something added.

Does Exactly What It Says

…and does it very well. SImple, unobtrusive, visually attractive. Not much to complain about except that it doesn’t work with Deezer or Tidal. Yet.

Beautifuly Simple and Simply Beautiful

If you spend a lot of time on the computer listening to iTunes while you work, then you should do yourself a favor and install Take Five. It's one of those tools which does one thing and does it extremely well. While it is a simple utility and a unitasker, the thoughtfulness put into both the visual and interaction design make it a pleasure to use. Not only does it fill a need which you didn't necessarily realize existed, but after using it for a while, you'll wonder what you've been doing all that time without it.

The IconFactory has been on a roll recently, and Take Five is a fantastic addition to their software lineup. This is a bargain at $4, but at the introductory price of $2, it's a steal.
