Never using this app again
The worst delivery application in Dubai. Avoid at any cost. The call center guys are simply giving you attitude, lie, and literally be rude to you. They will call you saying that your order was cancelled by restaurant after 40 minutes from the time that you ordered. When you request them to speak with restaurant and fix it because it’s 3 am in the morning they will say ok, and promise to give you a call. And in fact instead of call you receive sms saying your order was cancelled because we were not able to reach you. And when you call the number they called you from back they will just say that you didn’t speak with them. And when you say that you would like to file a complaint, the answer of Mohammed will be: ‘why? Anyways you will get your refund’. When you try to chat a specialist I guess he thinks that he is chatting with his gf or friend, I even made screenshots of this ridiculous convo 😄 I’m sure there’s no quality team and management doesn’t care about customer service. Well good for Deliveroo, Zomato and Uber eats 😄😄 keep it up 😂👍🏼😏
Customer service is terrible
Each time I’ve had a problem, a (generally not-very-cheerful) Talabat customer service rep has informed me that a “member of the team” would contact me. (I’ve received only one callback in five). The one time I was called back, I was promised ANOTHER call, and then THAT call never came. There is a clear morale problem amongst staff I’ve spoken to. Just try asking them when you can expect to get a callback.
Right now Talabat is the only show in town, and they know it. Order directly from the restaurant if you can. Otherwise stick to the few restaurants associated with the app who will behave professionally - and call THEM if you have a problem with an order you’ve placed through the app. If you get a restaurant that is incapable of solving a problem, it is unlikely (at least in my experience) that Talabat can/will help you. I’ve thrown two deliveries directly in the trash because they arrived cold, or too late for me to eat.
In the meantime, I suspect I’m not the only Doha resident anxiously waiting for a competitor to enter the home delivery market.
