Frustrating, poorly designed

I really wanted to like this game. It has a lot of individual components I love - basic shooter, some physics (bouncing shells), some action, nice look and feel.

However I'm going to have to get myself over this game. To site a few of the reasons:

1. Horrible controls. The touch joystick is nowhere as accurate as the real thing, and in higher levels where precision is key, the play gets more torturous than enjoyable

2. Constant need for internet connectivity. Bye bye subway commutes.

3. Constant attempt to sell in-app purchases

4. Easy to drain out valuable resources (such as mines, turrets, bombs) by clicking in the wrong place, no way to get them back.

5. Slow level up unless you dish out the dollars

6. Slow buttons need multiple careful clicks - such as restart

7. Did I say poor controls?

Beware: Freemium gone wild!

This is a fun game, but their freemium model is pretty ridiculous. I'd gladly pay a few bucks for some IAP that carry me through the game, but in "Tank Battles" you can expect to pay upwards of $20 (or much more) to upgrade your tank to a reasonable level.
Grinding isn't really an option either. The pay scale is so slanted against you that it would take an unreasonable amount of time to earn even a negligible upgrade. The good upgrades are, of course, cash only.

I'm not completely against freemium games, but "Tank Battles" really takes it too far. 2 stars (instead of 1), because at its core lies a fun game.

Good game

I really like this game for its cool use of fun battle!

But there should really be different setting where you can change the way you see the arena your in. Maybe full view or 3rd person maybe?
