Love seeing what I typed on the tape!
I do simple calculations all day long and it is really easy to enter a wrong digit. I really love that I use the “tape” to see what I typed so I can make sure my inputs were correct.
I looked at all the calculators in the appstore before I reached in my pocket to pay for this. I tried another one for many months that stored the tape in a tab on a separate screen of the calculator, but it is much better to see it in real time as I type.
I’d like to see a little more refinements in the color of the calculator so the program feels more appleisk.
Also, I would like to be able to close the app and have it save what I had in it so when I reopen the app it shows the previous calulations. The previous calculator I was using did that.
Thanks for the great work on this.
Love the tape, but could be a bit handier
This is, by far my favorite calculator app. The tape feature is seriously handy.
However, I have to be honest. I only noticed the problem others are having with editing numbers after reading other reviews just now and then trying it myself. Doesn’t seem to work. It would be nice to be able to edit a number in a long series without having to re-enter all the numbers. I was going to give it 5-stars. But for this issue not working, I can only give it 4.
It’s still well worth the price—at least for me.
Saves real estate on my desk
I purchased TapeCalc as a replacement for my ancient behemoth printing calculator. Loved the old calculator, just not all the space that it took up on my desk.
TapeCalc meets many but not all of my requirements. Overall I love it. It does take a little getting used to. I do wish that it had some memory options and that it would configure to 2 decimals without having to add “00” or a period.
For $10, how can you go wrong?
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
