Confusing or mislead startup
When I saw the screenshots of this app, I thought wow, what a nice concept! The UI looked really nice.
Once I started the app, I clicked on the Start Trial button. This popped up a window to login with my Apple ID. However, as soon as I started to type my Apple ID password, the BUY button became enabled. This gives the illusion that even though there's a so claimed 14 day trial, the only way to start the app is to login with your Apple ID and click on the BUY button.
Now, this is either a scam or a mistake. If the app promotes a 14 day trial, then why does it require my to click on the BUY button or else I am not able to start the app!?
Thanks, but I'm not going to click BUY. This is misleading and confusing why would you need to BUY the app for a 14 day trial.
Developer Response ,
We strictly follow Apple's recommendations to provide the best user experience for implementing Trial functionality in our app.
To start a 14-day trial, you have indeed to "buy" appropriate in-app purchase for free. Then Taskheat receives information about this "transaction" and uses its timestamp to determine the start of the trial period.
In other words, you will not pay a single penny to try Taskheat. Also, we'd like to point out that alert, appears after you enter your App Store credentials, is a standard in-app purchase confirmation UI that contains information about contents and price. Moreover, each in-app purchase, as well as the overall application flow, is reviewed and approved by Apple to appear on the Mac App Store.
Sorry for the inconvenience and we hope you will enjoy using Taskheat and update your review. Don't hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you'll need any further assistance.
