TaskTab places the focus squarely on your to do list. We've intentionally kept the app as simple as possible to allow you to quickly add, check off and manage your tasks without being distracted by pointless features that overly complicate the key purpose of a to do list app. The app lives in your menubar and is available at a click of a button or via its customizable hot key.
- A beautifully designed native app for macOS that supports both light and dark mode.
- You can easily import a to do list as well as export them to share with others.
- You can optionally choose to show the number of remaining items in your menubar.
We've worked hard to make TaskTab as powerful and efficient as possible for you to use. We would love to hear your thoughts via email and make any improvements to future versions of this app. We intend to have an active development cycle powered by your feedback and support!

Fast, Simple, and Useful
Thanks very much for this excellent app. I especially like the way completed tasks can instantly be “recycled” — added to the todo list — by simply unchecking the box. This is so useful for tasks that we repeat every day or every week. Also super useful is the “import" feature … a simple text list is imported and converted to tasks.
Features request — 1) the option to put certain tasks at the top with STARS, and 2) the option for yellow highlighting of tasks. 3) option to sort the tasks alphabetically, or by “date/time added"
Simple, Clean, and Perfect
This app does exactly what it says. After trying all the major to-do list and task apps, this is the only one that allows me to see my items within the menu bar without opening a window that I need to close afterward. I like that the icon lists the # of items left in the menu bar also. Items are easy to add, easy to complete/delete. Everything is simply 1 click.
Just a little too simple...
Basically is what it says it is, but is just a little too simple. One thing that would make it more useful (for me anyway) is the ability to add Titles that would allow me to create groups of To Dos - or at least lines between tasks that would allow for easier grouping visually (prefer titles though). This would make it more of a task “manager” that would be really useful. But if all you need is a list, then here it is!
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
