• "This app is great, 9 times out of 10 I get updates from BR before the ESPN app."

• “Wow - I'm just blown away by how good this is! The stream is awesome, and the breaking news is dead on. So much better than trying to follow multiple teams on ESPN. NICE JOB FELLAS!”

• “SIMPLY THE BEST!!!!! - As soon as I got the app and added my local team, I got breaking news from my team before they broke the news on a local sports talk radio that I listen at work every day. From that moment I fell in love with the app!!! Awesome app, I recommend it to every sports fan!!!!!”

• “Great app - Instead of having to go to multiple sites, I get a quick fix on my favorite teams with just this one.”

• Awesome! - Best sports app there is! I love the team feature. I used to watch espn daily but now with this app I haven't watched in over two weeks. All the news is fast and to the minute. Bye-bye espn.

• “Perfect - Get all your local teams big news in your notification center. How awesome!!!!!”

• “Great App!! - This app is very useful for breaking news and interesting tidbits from my teams. Being separated from home sports city makes it tough to get a ton of info on just a couple teams I want to follow, better than twitter only sports related updates.”

Pats Fan 2017

If you are looking for a fair balanced SPORTS application I would go somewhere else to look. I've had bleacher report over the last few years and I can say today was the tipping point. I will never download this biased app again. I don't think this should be classified under a sports applications. This is a liberal media outlet at this point. Every other article has to do with politics not sports. If you have any conservative views this application completely and totally alienates you till you find the need to delete it. Every political article comes from the liberal view and there is not one single conservative writer or view on there team. Not only do they only post the liberal view they completely and totally take away the free speech from conservative readers. On these liberal political articles that they post they completely remove the comment section so anyone who disagrees isn't even allowed too. I'm not sure on what gives Bleacher Report the right to choose what people can or cannot debate about. This application brain washes people into believing only one side of the story. It's a sad day in this country when a sports application are firing there political opinions down your throats and completely silenced the opposing point of view. I would not recommend this application to anyone with conservative views or believes that just because you have a different view you shouldn't be silenced which is unjust and Un-American.

Developer Response

Hey there - sorry to hear that. You may find that changing your “Home” setting to “My Teams Only” weeds out a lot of the content you don’t care to see. Without the opinion pieces, it should provide you a more straightforward news angle on the stories of the day.

It checks out

I can't think of an actual problem with this app, unless you count the Cold Hard Facts daily fact being Curry or the Warriors about 3-5 days per week, which is really the worst "problem" and is only a problem if you hate Curry and the Warriors or basketball in general (Personally I like the NBA in general and don't have a true favorite team/player so I can handle it.) However I can think of some major league positives. If you like reading articles against, for and in between about your favorite teams, it's for you. If you just want the scores, it's for you. If you like watching the latest bloopers and highlights, it's for you. If you like apps that rarely if ever crash and are easy to use, it's for you. There's more, like predictions, top player rankings, a Uniforms feed, the aforementioned Cold Hard Facts feed, the Top Games feed, the Trending feed, and to top it off some of the most unbiased and gutsy power rankings/top 25s out there (who else takes the gamble of putting my Tennessee Vols at preseason #7, ahead of even Ohio State, for this college football season? Exactly my point.) If you read all of this, by the way, I salute you and you deserve to be knighted.

WAS A Great App

A Disappointed Long Time User

It's a shame to see an app that was once so good and a go too somehow get worse. You would think with all the money they make from ads that they would be able to produce an app up to their old standards. I have used this app for years and used to swear by it, now it seems every time I use it, I quit because of how "crappy" or glitchy it has become. Before when you wanted news on your teams, you got it with no bull and no ads annoying the crap out of you. Now all I do is find myself complaining that this doesn't load, that doesn't load, another ad here, another there. Could the developer(s) become anymore sell-outish. I don't care what Verizon has to offer me, I don't care how much a papa johns pizza is; I want sports news and updates. I would rather pay 99 cents or whatever to get the old app and news when and where you want it back. Now I just find myself quitting the app due to having to watch 30 second ads for a 10 second highlight. Heck, I wasted enough of my time writing this review. And don't get fooled, it's not like their updates really help. Yea they got rid of the crazy annoying automatic ad playing in the background but that's about it. Still just gets worse and worse each update. Guess it's just too much to ask for now-a-days. Rant over.
