What's New in Version 2.5.2

We've been hard at work on adding some great new updates to TED this summer. Here's a few highlights:

* We now feature larger poster images for speakers to better take advantage of your larger phones.
* Gave the talk details screen some much needed TLC.
* Fixed some visual issues with iOS 9.
* Met up in NYC, ate some pastries, schemed for some great new things to release to you this fall.

Thanks for letting us inspire you.

Great concept but still more to go.

The app should learn me more. Meaning inspire me should have some guidelines and algorithms. If there were a "like" button that would really help intrigue this. Of course, the easiest way would be according to what I've watched already; but, it should consider both likes and watched videos. That would inspire me much more. Right now, the inspire me is a button I just don't use. It's too freestyle and has nothing to do with MY taste.

The downloads feature still needs some work. Exiting the app seems to stop the downloads. I should have an option if I would like for this to continue in the background or not. It's quite annoying choosing a bunch of downloads before my flight, waking up the next day to the airport and finding out a second before that your downloads did not download over night.

There are other small features that could be developed but I fee the above is crucial for the app to be anything higher than a three star.

Great direction overall. Of course, TED in itself is the best thing to ever exist.

One last feature I think should really be considered is allowing a login/account. This would enable a lot of the above mentioned features and more. Having everything linked to "my account" could be fantastic.

Few Improvements

I love using this app, as it makes it much more accessible for me to listen to talks in my downtime, and on my commute. However, I do wish we could login, so I can access saved talks across all devices. Another big thing is I would love it if links (from Twitter, etc.) opened in the actual app, instead of in browser. (The same way a Twitter link in another app would open in the Twitter app). It would make it much easier to save talks from a tweet/Facebook post to watch later, instead of having to see which talk the link goes to, and then search for it on the app (usually, I end up forgetting and then not watching at all)

Good app, bad Bluetooth interface

I use my phone for everything, especially while driving. I love to listen to books on Audible, music from my playlists or iTunes Radio, but when I pause the app or turn off my vehicle it doesn't remember where I was on the playlist it restarts the episode and I have to scroll the progress bar and hope I knew where it was before I turned off my vehicle. It's really annoying and should be updated to operate like every other Bluetooth comparable app.
