Great fun but ad & $ craziness!

There's something really creative behind this update. They definitely didn't phone it in. So, first, a lot of fun for a free game... And there's also the problem. The worth of coins in the game is less than that of gems. To put it in perspective, to unlock either if the 2 locked realms on the map you'd need to play for a totally crazy amount of time to amass the 1000 (!) gems needed - or spend... $100 real life dollars. Which is nuts, right? That's more than console games. Possible 2 of them. The need to conserve gems towards the distant dream of unlocking the map means when you die you inevitably watch an ad for one free save (rather than spend a precious gem). Which means watching the same ad over and over and over. Add in the in-between runs ads for another prominent App Store title and the whole experience becomes a bit relentless, the undoubted joy of the game diminished. What a pity! If there was a reasonable charge to go ad-free between runs, I'd pay it. If you could simply pay a sensible amount to unlock the 2 realms on the map, I'd pay it. As it stands, unless I'm missing something, Imangi have gone down the dark path of greed on this one. Too many coins in your eyes. Let us pay and play at an affordable level please! (And yes, I know, first world problems a-go-go!)

Great Game!

Temple Run 2 is the best of the Temple Run games, which are all good. The graphics are highly developed and superb, there are many runners of high diversity, and there are currently 5 maps, or layouts, to choose from (Lost Jungle is the latest). Important for me, the game is not about killing, although the runner can die to end a game. There are challenges, daily and weekly, and now Global Challenges lasting several days, with rewards of gems, coins, or hats-crowns. For me, at 78 yrs, the game provides finger and hand dexterity and exercise, one must be fast in motion and thought, so...wonderful!
Finally, I recently had a problem with the game and had to reinstall (first time ...). I managed to install a version that lost accumulated coins, gems, streak for consecutive making of daily challenge, hats and crown rewards. Support at Imangi was helpful, restoring gems and coins, but not as yet hats and crowns.
The game is wonderful at relieving stress, is challenging, has goals (of course you can set your own), and I enjoy it as a "break" on a daily basis.

what is with the second karma lee

it is a good game so fun but I got karma lee and ran and there is another karma lee she has gray skin and red eyes and follow's me sometimes when I trip I see the monkey like always but the monkey/monster is karma lee!!!!!! what is going on it is so freaky is this a glitch because when I run on the tree portion of the game when you start it pauses and when I push resume I teleport to the tunnel .... and sometimes I can run from there but it is just so confusing. next time I see her I'm taking a screen shot because I don't think this is normal
it is such a fun game but ... she is so creepy please change this if you can.
