Needs improvement
The bare essentials of the app work but things remain aggravatingly unpolished in this release. You can search the database of recipes by ingredient and browse what you are cooking simply by typing "chicken thighs," "salmon," or any other main ingredient, which I love. Constructively, as far as the bad goes....1. the app does not turn with the accelerometer which makes it awkward to use in my instance because my Ipad is mounted inside a clam case bluetooth keyboard. This app needs to be able to turn! 2. The units are only presented in degrees Celcius which just irks me because I am not accustomed to this metric, I just want an option to convert to Fahrenheit in the settings. 3. When you choose a recipe and the water bath is heating up, the temperature readout on the tender app is truncated instead of showing the full temperature, which is just silly. 4. The largest bug by far is that the whole app crashes when you switch from Celcius to Fahrenheit on the Nomiku device itself. There is an issue getting the device to communicate with the app even when trying to switch back to Celcius. You must unplug the Nomiku device and restart the app. I had to go so far as to remove the device from tender and re-pair it to get it to work properly again. I look forward to the updated release whenever the company's programmers get a chance to to an update.
Good but could be improved
Here are a few issues I have with the app:
Tender app won't display long comments in the directions section of a recipe. For example "Fable 65 C Egg" recipe directions say "Preheat to 65 C. Put egg in with care and let..." - let what?! Clicking on the comment won't let me see the rest of it!
I can't find any way to set a timer for starting the device at a particular time in the app. This would be handy for having soft boiled eggs ready for you in the morning, for example.
Clicking the "Help Center" link in the "How-To's" section of the app does nothing.
Tender notifications aren't making any sound or vibration on my phone, and I can't find where to troubleshoot that since the Help Center link doesn't work.
App occasionally crashes (it just crashed now while perusing the almost empty "My Profile" section.
Switching between C and F is not very intuitive (instead of a settings section, you have to hold the red temperature button).
App only supports vertical orientation.
Need a Product / UX designer to save this app.
CEO please fxxk off this app, so you won't destroy it, again! Why is temperature control is hidden inside of hamburger menu of my devices? Why is temperature control a scrolling wheel? Go study how joule app works and save this app.
The most annoying thing is. Why can't I tap on "cook this" button for the recipe in my draft? Why do I need to submit for reviews before I can cook it?
Why is breast milk recipe always in the first screen when I open the app? I can't even buy the ingredients from this recipe. Do you expect most of the people who cook will like this recipe???
Terrible decision! Please fix the issues.
