This is an ipad version of "Easy Thai Cooking" with great visual and easy-to-use presentations. The dishes are some of the most popular Thai food on the planet and is based on the original popular iphone app produced by Thailand's The Nation newspaper.
The VDO is presented by "Dee Dee Chef" who talks you through the "how to" process. The app contains photos and text of essential ingredients, use of utensils and recipes.
The quality and taste of Thai cooking depend very much on cooking the dishes properly and with subtlety. It is an art in itself and make easy with our instruction presentation. The app is supported by two major Thai food brands to help you pick quality ingredients - Aroy-D and Chicken of the Sea.
You can get update information, news and read about the history of Thai food at http://thaicooking.nationmultimedia.com/ and ask questions.
- Thai recipe ingredients, details of preparation in text format with photos
- VDO to ease you through the cooking process
- Photos of essential ingredients and utensils with descriptions
For a free app this is really well done! Contains the standard Thai recipes you would find most anywhere in Thailand - panaeng, gaeng kiaw wan, gra pao, dom kha soup, etc. Has a great description of essential Thai ingredients, easy recipes, and even a video of the recipes. Yes there are only a handful of recipes, but if you've lived in Thailand any length of time you know you eat these recipes 75% of the time most likely. lol Im very glad to have an app that shows me how to make them from scratch now!
Even for free it is overpriced!
No matter how one holds the iPad one cannot read the full content, it is cut off. The audio starts playing when one opens the app and won't stop until one starts a video and then when one closes the video it just shrinks down into a window that cannot be dismissed. Also, the recipes do not provide full ingredient lists. It may list several items but then the instructions state to include ingredients that aren't listed. Also, recipes may be for beef but the instructions state something like "chicken steaks"' leading one to question if any of the recipes are accurate.
It may be free but even for free it's overpriced.
If only they all were like this app
This app is awesome, even though it only has a few recipes, it provides a visual so we can see were we at. Ohh also we really enjoy the fact that if me wifi is out we are still able to watch the vids.
This is a great app if only the other food apps were like this.
