What's New in Version 1.0.3
Added French voices and fixed iPad 3/iPad 4 compatibility issues
This has a variety of challenges. Coin and puzzle piece collecting as an incidental set of actions to the main story. Physics, action arcade, hidden objects, and logic puzzles. These are set in a storyline similar to the movie, so there's a sense of Tintin-style adventure. The challenges are nearly all not difficult, so they should be fun to novice gamers.
Negatives are minor. There's an awful lot of shimmer as distant graphics fight to be in front of each other. This made the binocular puzzle harder than intended. The animations are decent but abrupt as they transition one to the other, and there's noticeable delays between many scenes changes. This happens a lot so the flow of the cinematography is broken and unpleasant. It feels like they had not enough time to properly produce this for iOS with many corners cut.
Finally, that old dilemma: it was too short (because it was fun).
With all the hype and glowing reviews I purchased this game and discovered that I bought a beautifully wrapped empty box. Other than the classical art from the Tintin comics there is nothing to recommend. The controls are awful, the gameplay is moronic. Essentially it's a simple run and jump platformer along with intrusive and unnecessary collecting of coins and puzzle pieces that do nothing.
I am left feeling sad and angry. This could have been great. Instead it is obviously a marketing executives rip off. Kudos to the visual artists whose talents were squandered. I'm forced give one star to submit the review but I giving Zero stars. Watch the movie or even better read the books. Then you'll see how pictures and words can be crafted into art.
Love it! :D
I'm a Huge Tintin Fan and I was so happy to have a Tintin game on my iphone. This game is entertaining, has amazing graphics, pretty good voice acting and changes up the play of characters at times. My only down about the game is that It ended to fast! I play it over and over again and I wish they would have added more. Is it worth it? If you are huge Tintin Fan like me then Yes! If your just bored or want to play just any game, then maybe not.
