Ratings and Reviews
Great! Definitely an upgrade over the previous 'paper copy' version. The interface is delightful to navigate, offline reading is an awesome feature and all the little interactive things like the galleries and charts add a lot of shine.
There are a few small glitches here and there - sometimes images don't show, and it's crashed once or twice when updating content, but I'm sure these will be fixed in time. 5 stars once these little things are worked out.
Overall, it's a wonderful presentation of the news! Definitely the kind of user experience other digital tablet publications should aspire to.
After having the herald sun app for months ,I decided because the sun was so poor that I'd try the age.
The difference was chalk and cheese, the age won hands down.
Now they have come up with this new app for the age and it is sensational,I have so many apps for newspapers, all over the world, but this app is so far ahead of the others .
It is what the iPad was made for. Whoever put this app together must win some award for it's sheer brilliance ,I cannot recommend this app highly enough, and to top it off ,it is free for the next 6 months . Ditch your paid herald sun,or any other news apps as this is simply the best.
Thanks for the app ,just so impressive.
Good Melbourne news source
Great layout. I also enjoy your sister Aussie paper the SMH. Fantastic to have a free good quality news source. Not as many advertisements as other papers!
