This new update is worthless! The old version worked fine. Ever since the update, the App isn’t working. Gives an incorrect message that my Internet connection isn’t working and is offline, neither of which is true. I have spoken to tech support who after 15 minutes, couldn’t resolve the issue. Now I have to read the paper via their website. With ugly pop-up ads, which take up page content and interrupt the reading of the article. Even this method of reading the paper is unpleasant. Seriously in this day and age, a newspaper App should not be having such issues. With subscriptions dropping I would think they would be more vigilant in making sure their App is working correctly especially since I am PAYING for it! Zero stars

The old app had a few bugs but the new version is unreadable. Can't view the pages in the print version format, just articles like free junk internet news. The flasher ads and other ads that don't appear in the print version are especially annoying since I'm paying $180 per year for a subscription. This morning it doesn't work at all, no content. This is a great newspaper but the new app has ruined the experience. I've been a subscriber for years but I may cancel. Zero stars.

Ugh. The flashing ad at the bottom is fiercely annoying. We pay enough for this paper to enjoy an ad-free app. The ad and extra navigation tools take up screen space in the new app and the iPad browser edition. I will most likely cancel the subscription since the reading experience is so unpleasant. The Statesman just can’t seem to get the browser or app versions correct. I have subscribed in print and online for years and continue to be disappointed. Statesman: Take your cue from Washington Post and NYT apps.
