In 1982, I walked into the front door at 541 North Superior Street in Downtown Toledo. I was 13 years old. I said, "Can I please get a paper route?" The lady at the desk replied, "Yes you can." That was my first real official job. All these years later to see the Toledo Blade expand into the world of technology is wonderful. Nationally, paper newspapers have declined but technology has allowed newspaper readers to continue to be connected to the cities that they enjoy. The Blade has done an excellent job keeping The City of Toledo community informed about local issues, events, opportunities, regional, national and international news that are important to civilization.

Thank you for fixing the IPad download problem reviewed below. I have been able to read my paper every morning.
Please fix the download problems! I pay the monthly fee because i like looking at the paper as it appears in print. When I originally started reading the Blade on the iPad it worked beautifully. Not sure what happened. They started the Blade slide and I have the same problems with that app.
Maybe it’s time to cancel my subscription?
My elderly father gave up his paper newspaper because of vision issues. The iPad version works great for him except for the constant problems with it downloading. Which then causes phone calls early in the morning to me wanting to know what is going on. He faithfully deletes old versions and closes the app but to no avail. The only fix is to delete/reinstall the app which is too complicated for him. Now the app won't install! With print media going out of business or converting to strictly electronic versions, you would think the Block family would supply a better electronic version of the Blade. And just like everything the Block family does, a day late and a dollar short.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
