What's New in Version 1.9.1
If you love The Christmas List, be sure to check out Jotalicious - the grocery and shopping assistant that makes creating color-coded checklists as quick and simple as jotting a note!
This is a minor update that corrects an issue that prevented groups from being recognized in certain import situations. This also lets you make archived gifts active again (in case you archived them by accident).
Please add a notification to the screen badge (and as a reminder after the app is opened) that says how many (shopping) days until Xmas. Perhaps I'm dreaming here, but if I'm looking for, say, equestrian gear for my daughter, a feature which suggests/lists local (and even online) retailers would be wildly helpful! Also, could you list the gifts I still need to buy (for all recipients) by store, as a shopping list? Would be immensely helpful. Maybe add info about national/international shipping dates (to get there by Christmas)? USPS has this on their site, but as my family and friends are quite spread out, this would help me to get things done on time. My ADD really likes to have as much related info as possible in one place. This app helps make shopping fun and more importantly, it helps me keep track of how much I've spent, on whom and whether I've actually wrapped (UGH!) and sent it (Ahhhh...). Great job! Thanks! And Merry Christmas. :-)
Not quite there to be 100% useful to me
I like the budgeting part, being able to make groups, pictures, etc. But I don't like that if you enter a gift with a status of To Do (you still need to buy it), it shows up as green on the people page, the same as for those where I have already purchased the gift. I've already entered what I'm buying everyone, but haven't bought everything yet. However, from the people screen it looks like I'm all finished with everyone. I'd like to be able to see at a glance who is still outstanding. Maybe be able to filter on status? Or make it a different color? I also worry about no iCloud backup. I'd be royally messed up if the app crashed and I lost everything!
I looked at this app based on the recommendation of the woman who writes Skinnytaste- for $1.99 thought I would give it a try. It is a great app- works really well- love that I can track not only what I have bought and spent, but also keep track of what I have wrapped and shipped. Works very intuitively (good for non-techies like myself!) and just generally making my life easier this holiday season :)
