Getting a lot of undeserved hate
Look, the game has flaws; but at its core, it is extremely fun to play. the combat is intuitive, engaging, and strategic (enemies have weakness and resistances that actually matter). You actually sometimes have to vary your weapons and armor to combat them if they are high level. There are many features that are still in development, it is an early access title after all. In terms of the glaring question everyone wants to know, namely, is it pay to win? The answer is, in my opinion, no. First of all, PVP is yet to be released. Therefore “pay to win” is literally a non-issue, only being brought up by people who haven’t even played the game, just have seen headlines that say “loot boxes are in the game.” Secondly, the best in slot equipment can *ALL* be grinded for, and it’s not extremely difficult compared to many other games I’ve played. I have been playing since day of release. I have put a bit of money into the game to support the devs, but nothing that can consider me a “whale.” I am maxed with almost max gear. All spending did for me was lessen my grind a few hours, I could have achieved it all a few days later than I did. People complaining seem to not understand these types of resource management games or how to approach them. The game offers some of the more in-depth combat you’ll find in a mobile, and with a decent storyline and main quests, and a lot of content on the horizon, I’d recommend giving it a shot.
Great Game! Tips to help with chests included.
This is a great game. The combat is great, the build times are fair, as well as crafting times. There’s an ample amount of quests for loot and if there’s no quest that have rewards your currently interested in, there’s a replay able mission that gives you a fair amount of gold and a item that sells well too. I would be thankful if Bethesda added more maps/dungeons so the scenery wasn’t so repetitive, but it is otherwise a great game. There’s also randomly occurring alternate versions of the same quests for more difficulty, like a high voltage version where enemies deal shock damage.
Then there’s the chests. Oh the amount of complaints about the chests. I used to have the same problem with chests building up, but I devised a strategy. While playing I wouldn’t start any silver or gold chests, only wooden. Then whenever I had to go to work or class, I would start a silver chest. I would usually be able to start a second silver chest during my break. I would also start a silver chest when I thought I wouldn’t be playing for at least an hour. Then I would start a gold chest when I went to bed. Maybe the time could be shortened a little bit for the silver chest, but if you’re smart about the timing, you should be fine. I also recommend getting the first chest capacity upgrade. All in all, great game, good job Bethesda. Hope this was helpful:) And for the love of gaming its NOT PAY TO WIN!
Tips for EVERYONE!!!! PLEASE READ EVERYTHING
This is a butterchest kind of game....lol get it? Because realistically everything about this game is amazing....But their chest!! Should not be able to purchase LEGENDARY ITEMS AT LEAST; why? Well that for one would make PvP unbalanced .....and that’s it...I’m level 18 right now and I haven’t spent a penny on this game!! In addition, I have +160 gems and I already spent a lot on some wooden. I truly believe that WE can get the best armor and weapons without using any money. It does take time but it is worth it! Also try to stack on Gold Chest while opening silver chest and when you come across a wooden chest I recommend that you use a gem for it. Why? Because you can possibly get more gems from that chest aaaanddd it is more important to keep your silver chest at a minimum. I made this mistake and now I have 34 silver chest and 4 Gold chest, but if I wasn’t trying to save them and always opened/WAITED for the Silver Chest then use 1 gem for the wooden chest I would be able to stack up more on Gold Chest. Gold chest take 72 gems to unlock on the spot....not worth it. But the wooden chest is worth it when you are waiting for a silver chest to open or a gold chest to open. BUT NEVER USE GEMS FOR ANY CHEST BUT WOODEN PLEEEEASEEEE!!!! I don’t want anybody putting money into this game unless for decorations...it will definitely balance out the PvP gameplay. Thank you guys for reading. I hope this helps in anyway.
