Amazing Game - Except for Some Bugs!

I love the Escapists and was debating whether to get it on PC or not, but then this came out and I knew I had to get it! For $4, I could see what the game was all about and have a better opinion on trying the DLC in the PC version (which I hope you add as in-app purchases later!). It was great, my brother and I both were playing it. Except, we were experiencing some launch bugs, which is to be expected. I encountered some text issues with the description of X item in the payphone. Also, sometimes the opening-desk sound kept looping for no apparent reason. My brother's game wouldn't let him escape other prisoners trying to beat him up while loading a save. He was just frozen in place while the black box around the screen faded away and the prisoners had time to come at him and kill him. He died every time he tried loading and was forced to stay in solitary without his items. But these bugs are minor, and I know you can fix them. Anyone that wants to get this game should definitely buy it, it is worth the money! Can't wait to see how it progresses in the future!

Great game, annoying bugs

This is a port of a great PC game. The game is easy to learn, but has remarkable depth.

The reason that I did not give it 5 outof 5 stars is because of two very annoying bugs. The first bug that you will encounter is sometimes during combat, your character will become glued to your opponent and get sucked towards your opponent. Most likely some kind of auto-aim bug.

The second bug occurs in the final prison in the game. Escaping requires you to acquire balsa wood. Most items can be obtained through multiple means: buy them, pick them off of an unconscious inmate or gaurd, steal them from an inmates desk, etc. In the final prison, balsa wood can only be purchased from an inmate. The bug is that the items that inmates sell is random, changes once per day, and the balsa wood is so rate that I have only seen it for sale once in 10 days. Since escaping requires two pieces of balsa wood, this makes for an extremely boring, long, drawn out final prison.

Lots of fun gameplay!

This game is fun and exciting, and provides hours upon hours of gameplay per level! It's so exciting when the long-awaited escape attempt happens, and it works! However, throughout the game you may find yourself with your pockets full of your most valuable contraband, running from cops and pass through the area where you're meant to be, and the games autosaves. When you load your last save, you immediately die, because after loading a save, an intro sequence where a gap in a black box pans away causes you to not be able to move or attack back- so you die... all you can do is go to solitary-- and lose all of your progress. This is frustrating, but allows for a new plan to unfold. Overall, amazing game and concept! The AI has hilarious dialogue as well, it's always good to see some humor in games like this!!!
