A nice little game in the creepy style that Glitch Games has made their own. A lot of work has obviously gone into the imagery and the music and the gameplay and the scares. The "inventory wheel" works quite well (except that it would be good to be able to control the rotation of the object displayed in the middle). My only negative criticisms are that the gameplay is quite short (markedly shorter than A Short Game) and the ending is a bit rushed, directorially speaking. Navigation is occasionally a little disorientating. There are a few scenes that are richly rendered but turn out to have only one thing you can do in them. And... the piano scale is incorrect (A to C should be a minor third, not a major third). All that said: a lot of work has gone into this and I enjoyed every minute of it.
Hit the challenge sweet spot
Very well done, as Glitch Games tend to be, and this one was the perfect level of challenge for me: hard enough that I was frustrated and thought about looking for a walk-through, but not so tough that I actually needed to.
The camera feature is something I miss in other developers' games. A great touch.
The only improvement I'd suggest is a different interface for the photo log. The long-press is annoying and it would be helpful to be able to see most of the main screen and photo simultaneously, and also see thumbnails of all photos (not just 5 at a time).
Great game as far as it goes
Glitch games are by far some of the best out there and this one is great as well, with wonderful graphics, gameplay, and clever, intelligent puzzles. However, I agree with some of the other reviewers that it's short, and the ending was disappointing... almost as if they got tired and just wanted to finish it. I also found quite a few of the puzzles fairly simple... more so than their other games, and the new inventory style seemed cumbersome to me... It made extra steps in those places where I wanted to try various items in one spot. All that said, it's totally worth the two dollars, but It doesn't get the five stars that Forever Lost and A Short Tale get.
