Description

Powerful, flexible and simple task management that is a pleasure to use, The Hit List can handle personal tasks and professional projects. Use it with The Hit List for iPhone v2.3 (available on the iOS App Store) which includes The Hit List for Apple Watch and enjoy fast, reliable sync service included with the purchase of the app.

It is as easy to use as making lists.

Neutralize chaos, and recapture your time and focus. Your life is complicated enough as it is. The tool to manage your life shouldn't be. The Hit List keeps things simple by not forcing you to learn a system. It can be as simple as just keeping a list of things to do as you would on a piece of paper. However, if you do use a task management system such as Getting Things Done by David Allen, The Hit List is flexible enough to support you.

Capture and forget what you need to do later with The Hit List and get your "now" back, with confidence.

The Hit List includes sync service to sync with The Hit List for iPhone and The Hit List for Apple Watch (sold separately on the iOS App Store) or other Macs.

GTD that works for me

BMC29

I am not a GTD expert but I understand the concepts and have a need to be more organized. I have used betas or trial versions of many apps, Things, Omnifocus, Wunderlist, Appigo Todo, and although many of these apps are very good it just didn't quite work for me. The Hit List though seemed to click. The app has a beautiful user interface, multiple ways to get tasks in (drag & drop, copy & paste, quick entry shortcuts) and ways to organize your tasks (folders, lists, tags). The best features to me is the many keyboard shortcuts, they make the app fun and easy to use. Definitely worth the money and for me is the best GTD app I have used on a Mac. Go download a trial from their website and give it a shot.

I bought the iPhone app and sync services. The iPhone app was just released and it also has has an attractive user interface but I think it needs a little more refinement and features. That being said it still is a great mobile option for getting things into The Hit List and getting them done. I was skeptical of the sync services but the reviews were very positive and I have to say they were right on. Super fast and accurate. Based on how many of these GTD Mac to iOS syncing services work these guys nailed it. worth the 20$ no doubt. Can't wait for the iPad app.

Best of them -- and I've used Wunderlist, Producteev and Omnifocus

Not knocking the other products -- they are very good as well. But this one is super-intuitive in the way that you can just "enter and forget" and then later go back and structure your day, your plans and projects. What I really love is how I am asked little information when just emptying tasks from my mind. Also, the iPhone app is just fantastic -- this is the fastest I've ever seen for syncing info from the desktop app and PC. With some of the other ones I had to wait 20 second or longer before I could start entering tasks on the mobile app -- or else the sync isn't secure.

Just one of two feature requests -- I would like the ability to change the backgrounds, as in Wunderlist (I love those backgrounds). Also maybe a menubar or some quck indicator -- but what is there is also good enough.

Tried them all. This is hands down the best.

Tried all the other contenders:
Things App is good, but not enough control and starts getting cumbersome and fiddly if you have too many tasks. No subtasks and you’re locked into their way of doing things in projects. Just becomes a pain the more you put into it. THE HIT LIST towers above it by being super easy to customize, use your own way, and doesn’t get bogged down when you have a zillion tasks. And shortcuts via keyboard make it extremely fast and intuitive to organize your tasks and move them about.

Omnifocus is just far too complicated. The Hit List is simple and clean and fast. Just makes sense and you don’t need to spend months learning it like Omni.

Yes, I have pretty much tried every other GTD app out there. Every time I was tempted to leave The Hit List, I kept coming back to it again and again because it just works: quick, easy, intuitive, clean, and it gets out of your way. Syncing is great with no issues. Does NOT lock up your computer. Has all the options you need. No bloat at all. And the companion iPhone app (now in a new version) is awesome. I can’t recommend The Hit List enough. It is what keeps everything in my life in order.
