Honest review
I downloaded this app at the recommendation of a friend. She warned me about the waitlist as she waited several months before her profile was approved. I think I joined two months ago. The folks in the waiting room seem nice. A few have even met in person. The concept of the app is smart and different but the waitlist is unnecessarily long. I understand the approval process, matching people up based on commonalities, and so on. It would be nice to have a timeframe not just what number you are on the list for your town. I don't see myself keeping up my profile for much longer but I'd still recommend this app to others.
Update May 27, 2017: I tried to take a break from the app since the waitlist seemed to not be moving. I was informed that there would be a charge for taking a break. Granted it's $1.00 but it didn't sit well with me. I'm not sure of the work schedules for concierges but based on the response time I would think it's part time. I originally gave this app three stars but after the whole charge and lag in response I've dropped it to 1 star. I hope the developer look at these reviews and make some changes to better the experience for its customers
I actually think the app is wonderful
It's an elitist dating app; if you don't qualify, you're going to be better, leave a one star reading and will find yourself better off on OkCupid or plenty of fish. one. This app's value proposition and utility derive themselves from fulfilling a very much-needed platform selective dating and meeting cool people within a certain group of affluent or ambitious people.
Great for yuppies looking to get matched and meet likeminded folk with cultural and socioeconomic similarities.
Haven't tried the app yet, and it wants to block my friends?
"missing Facebook permissions: unfortunately Facebook friends and email addresses are required permissions to use the league. This is so we can block you from your Facebook friends and notify you when you're drafted."....hmm, not sure how you would be able to block my friends? why would you want to block me from my friends?
